Chapter 63 - Cast Trip

Scarlett's POV:

This last week has flown by. I'm getting ready to do a few reshoots for Endgame and then that's all the Avengers movies finished up for me. A group of us decided that we should rent a house up the coast away from LA so we could have a couple of days away together as a cast. Unfortunately, not everyone can make it, but we've got a good group of us going.

It's come at the perfect time as Y/n, and I are waiting for her test results from Dr Callahan. Our biggest concern is if her injuries from Afghanistan will have an impact on her fertility. Dr Callahan isn't as worried. She said that if there was significant damage that they would have noted it when she was in the hospital being treated. Even with that though, it still hasn't stopped us being concerned. We don't always have luck on our side, and we don't want to get our hopes up for nothing.

Now we're trying to focus on having a nice time whilst we're away in Santa Maria. Robert has booked out a house big enough for us all to stay together. It's in a gated community, has a pool and is right on the beach. It'll be the perfect chance to relax for a couple of days.

Y/n dropped Ava at Sophie's last night so we could get a head start this morning. Y/n offered to drive the 4 hours it's going to take and we're on pick up duty. We're taking Lizzie and Cobie, making sure all the girls stick together! Unfortunately, both Robbie and Taran are working so can't come. Which is a shame.

Y/n fills our trunk with food and alcohol for the few days we're away. We don't want to be heading into the town if we can help it, so between us, we've got everything we should need for the three nights that we're away. Susan and Y/n definitely acted as the mothers of the group to get that organised!

We head off and go to Lizzie's first as she's closest. We both jump out the car to greet her and Robbie. "I'm going to miss you not being there." Y/n joking pouts as she's chatting with Robbie. "Uh hello?! I'm there. Your bestie. That's all that should matter." Lizzie takes offence. 

It's quite funny. Y/n and Robbie have a really great relationship. At any events that they're both at, they seem to naturally gravitate towards each other. Lizzie and I love that they get along so well. It means that on nights like premieres or other events, they have company whilst we have to do work things. "We'll have to catch one of the preseason games when you're back." He suggests and Y/n fists pumps. "Yes! I'll look at the fixtures and let you know." Y/n responds excitedly.

"Hey, you now need to make plans with me too." Lizzie pouts. "Why?" Y/n and Robbie answer through a laugh at the same time. "My bestie can't have more plans with my boyfriend than I do!" She complains. "You were my bestie first!" I mumble, making the others laugh. "But Y/n is the shinny new toy." Robbie jokes, his hands on her shoulders and shaking her about. "I've known her for three years. I'm no longer shinny." Y/n deadpans and grabs Lizzie's bag. "Let me get a copy of your demo when you're done. I loved the last one and can't wait to hear what else you've got for the album." Y/n says, walking towards the trunk of the car. "Will do. Should hopefully have something with you by the end of next week." Robbie replies and Lizzie just looks between the two of them shocked.

"How come she gets to hear it and not me?" She asks with her infamous head tilt. "I want you to hear them when they're finished. Besides, this one might be for you." He blushes, rubbing at the back of her neck. "Aw babe! That's so cute." She beams. "Ok, say goodbye, we have to go!" I tell Lizzie, making my way to the car, not feeling like watching them suck face right now.

After a couple of minutes, Lizzie joins us, jumping in the back behind me. "I'm good. Let's head to Cobie's." She states, plugging in her seat belt. Y/n pulls off the driveway and we drive across town to get our last passenger. Taran is away so we don't have any lovesick interactions to see here. She's practically waiting for us on her doorstep and doesn't even give us a chance to get out of the car to greet her.
