Y/n's POV:

When Monday came around, I couldn't be more relived. Although we had done a number of additional tests on Sunday, all positive by the way, we wanted to have the confirmation from Dr Callahan that we've got a baby cooking in the oven. We practically ran into her office the next morning, having booked the first appointment of the day. We dropped Ava at school and came straight over.

The nurse took my blood first and then we had the usual anxious wait of about 20 minutes before Dr Callahan entered her office. Once again, she handed us a folder with a big smile on her face. "I have a feeling that the two of you already know this, but I'm pleased to confirm that you are pregnant!" She shares with us excitedly.

I instantly feel Scarlett pull me into a hug, her tears falling onto my shoulder. She then leans back and smacks our lips together in a loving kiss. I blush a little as she pulls away, it was an amazing kiss, but I'm very aware that Dr Callahan is sat watching on. "God I'm so happy to have it confirmed." Scarlett laughs as she pulls away. "Did you cave?" Dr Callahan asks. "Y/n surprised me on my birthday." Scarlett excitedly responds, grabbing her phone and showing her the onesie. "Oh, that is adorable!" Dr Callahan coos over the outfit.

"I was having all the pregnancy symptoms and then my grandmother called me out and I just couldn't wait any longer." I admit a bit shyly. "Well, I'm glad that I can give you the official confirmation" She smiles at us. "But I understand that you both probably have some concerns and worries after your last pregnancy." She assumes, bringing our mood down slightly. "I'll admit that I'm scared it's going to happen again, and I feel a little helpless to stopping it." I share. My admissions, makes Scarlett reach over and take my hand in hers.

"I know it's difficult, but you did nothing wrong last time. You took all the relevant precautions. All you can do is the same again. We'll get you back in at 6 weeks for the first scan and I'd like to monitor you with bi-weekly blood tests until you hit 12 weeks." Dr Callahan informs us. "Please also feel free to call the office if you have any concerns at all. Any spotting or cramping you're worried about, call me. I can hopefully put your mind at ease." She smiles at us, and it certainly makes me feel more relaxed.

We ask a few more questions and book in the next appointments that we need before thanking Dr Callahan and heading out. Before we leave the building though, Scarlett stops me and pushes me gently against a wall. "Aren't I the one that's meant to get horny?" I ask her with a chuckle. "Shut up." She pouts, before lifting her hands to rest on my stomach. "Baby Johansson in the making." I smile as I place my hands over hers. "I'm still worried." She admits and I nod. "Me too. But we need to enjoy these moments. If we spend them worrying, we'll miss out on all the good bits. It's ok to worry, but let's not let it overwhelm us. As hard as that might be at times." I suggest.

Scarlett looks up at me through her eyelashes and I love how beautiful she looks. "You're so wise you know that. You're right. We focus on the good and deal with anything else if it comes to it." She agrees, sealing it with a kiss. "Now let's go and get a coffee. I've not been for a few days." She orders, taking my hand and leading me to the car.

We spend the morning at the café, and it becomes a bit of a spectical as Scarlett decides to help out behind the counter. I sit with Sophie at a table in awe of her. "She is a natural there." Sophie points out. "I know and she seems genuinely happy." I observe, smiling myself when I hear her laughing with a customer. "Maybe this is our next venture. Hire an Avenger every month to serve the customers." Sophie jokes. "Could you imagine the customers we'd have if Evans was here." I laugh in return. "I wonder if he'd do it shirtless." She thinks out loud. Something she clearly didn't mean to do when her eyes widen and her cheeks blush. "Ok, not letting you near Evans again." I joke, earning a nudge from my bestie.
