Scarlett's POV:
We're into our final month here in Atlanta. As much as I have absolutely loved this time out here as a family, I can't wait to get home because it means we're so much closer to the wedding! When we get back, we have three weeks until the big day and I sometimes struggle to contain my excitement. I can't believe that we're almost there. It doesn't feel that long ago that we bumped into each other in the park and now we're getting married.
What has been nice whilst in Atlanta is making the most of the days off that I've had. If I had a few days off, we'd go and visit somewhere to explore. We've gone to Charlotte, Memphis and Y/n's favourite, Nashville. She was very much in her element there. She loves country music, so she loved seeing things like the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Grand Ole Opry.
Ava loved the trips too as she was seeing different parts of America. She particularly liked Discovery Place Science Museum in Charlotte. Y/n was definitely acting like a big kid herself. I loved watching the two of them in the Spy exhibition proving their own James Bond skills! It's been really special to me that we've had these trips to give us a chance to make more memories as a family. I can't wait for our future and where it's going to take us!
After a particularly long and exhausting day on set, I was dying to get home to my family. It's been an emotional week and we're building up to film the scenes that I'm dreading the most. I had George drive me today as I knew there was going to be a lot of stunt work and I didn't want to drive home in such an exhausted state or have Y/n and Ave drive out to get me.
I enjoy taking the time in the car to relax a little and let my mind run over the thoughts of the day. It means that when I get in, I can give my entire focus to my girls and enjoy the quiet evening in.
When I open the door, I don't hear the usual sounds from the TV or switch. Instead, I can hear quiet mumbling coming from the dining room. I slowly make my way through the house and stop when I see such a cute sight in front of me. Y/n and Ava are sat at the table with what appears to be her homework out in front of her. "It's ok bug. Don't get worked up. Let's work through this one step at a time." Y/n encourages our daughter, who I can see is a little distressed.
"Let's see if this helps." Y/n thinks aloud, looking around the table and grabbing the note pad from beside her. She starts to rip the paper up and then counts them into piles. "This pile here is the $25 dollars that David used to buy the first present." She says, moving that pile in front of her. "Then this one is $18 for present two and then $9 for present three." She carries on, indicating to the other piles. "Start by adding up present 1 and two." Y/n instructs Ava, moving the paper in front of her.
Ava grabs the first bit of paper and moves it to the first pile, adding it on. "Perfect. What did you get?" Y/n asks. "$43" Ava answered, unsure of herself. "That's correct! Well done bug!" Y/n cheers and Ava's face breaks out into a smile. "Now you just need to add present three on top of that." Y/n tells her, and Ava is quick to start adding them on. "That makes it $52" Ava responds confidently this time. "Correct! See, you can do it. You just need to break the problem down. Now write it down quickly whilst you remember." She encourages.
It makes my heart grow when I see them working together. Y/n has really made such an effort to make sure that Ava's school work is as unaffected as possible whilst we're away and she's basically become a teacher to her. Getting to see moments like this just makes my love grow even more. "Looks like we've got the next Isaac Newton on our hands." I say, making my presence known to the two Brits. "Mama!" Ava cheers, rushing to get out of her chair to give me a hug. "Hi little widow. How is your homework going?" I ask her as I hold her close.
"It's hard, but mummy is showing me how to do it." She informs me, which makes my eyes find my fiancé who is already looking at me with her loved up eyes. I make my way over to her and place Ava back down in her seat. "Hi angel." She greets with a smile as I lean down to give her a quick kiss. "Hi babe. I missed you today." I tell her and she smiles wider. "We missed you too!" She responds. "We've just got two more questions then I'll get started on dinner." She tells me. "That's ok. I can get started on it. How about we just do something simple tonight?" I suggest. "Nuggies?" Ava asks hopefully.
