Y/n's POV:

There are nerves around the house like I've never experienced before, whilst getting ready for a red carpet event. But then we are getting ready for the Oscars, nothing is bigger than that. Especially when your wife is nominated for her very first time! Thankfully, we have a daughter and a son who are keeping us entertained.

Leo is completely confused about what is going on, especially as he's not able to get access to his mums when he wants it. He threw a tantrum whilst Scarlett was getting her hair done, because he couldn't get a snuggle with her. Instead, he had to make do with me and I'm pretty sure that he let out a huff as Melanie placed him in my arms.

I had my hair and makeup done first so I was out of the way, it meant I could see to Leo's needs if he was being a grump and not allowing Melanie to do it. I walk around with him in my arms, bouncing and singing quietly to him and it seems to calm him down a little. Thankfully, I'm not in my own dress yet, so the drool that misses the cloth over my shoulder, only gets on my zip up.

When he starts to get a little grizzly again, I walk towards Scarlett and sit on a chair next to her so he can at least see and hear her. It seems to do the trick and he starts to smile when he sees his mama. "That's right smush, you mama is looking like the most beautiful goddess tonight." I respond to his incoherent babble, earning flushed cheeks and an eyeroll from Scarlett. "She's such a sweet talker." Lacy teases. "I just speak the truth." I respond, bouncing Leo on my knee as he watches his mama intently.

"Where's Ava?" Scarlett asks and I nod my head behind me to where Ava was sat with Daisy, the makeup artist. She is showing her everything that she has in her endless amounts of makeup bags, explaining what each thing is. Ava hasn't really shown much interest in wanting to wear make up yet. She had her ears pierced for her birthday, but other than that she's not been interested. However, whenever Scarlett is getting ready for an event like this, she always shows an interest in the hair and makeup. It's really sweet.

"Ok Y/n. Get your last cuddles in and hand the baby over. You need to go and get changed so we can stay on track. Your dress is in the guest room." Dina instructs me. I give her a playful salute and then hold Leo close, peppering his face with kisses, drawing a string of giggles from him. I then hand him over to Melanie who's smiling over the interaction.

Once I'm in my dress, I make my way downstairs to where everyone is waiting. "You look beautiful mummy." Ava tells me with a smile as I join her in the living room. "Thanks bug. So do you" I respond, noticing the light makeup on her face. She beams at my compliment and runs to Daisy to tell her.

I look around for Scarlett but she's nowhere to be seen. I'm assuming that she's getting ready herself. She wouldn't tell me anything about what she's wearing. I just know that it's going to match my black dress. Which doesn't narrow it down at all as most things go with black!

I end up chatting with Dina and Melanie, whilst Melanie was giving Leo a bottle. Though the conversation soon stops as I notice their eyes move to the stairs behind us. I slowly turn around and I let out a small gasp at the beauty that is descending down the stairs.

The strapless silver dress hugs her curves in all the right places whilst the sheer corset style top shows off my favourite asset of hers. I feel like my body is broken as I'm frozen to the spot, my mouth hanging open whilst my eyes watch her movements intently. It's like time has slowed down as she descends the stairs like some sort of angel.
