Y/n's POV:
The big move is finally upon us. Everything that we need is either packed up and already waiting for us at our temporary home or is in our luggage ready to fly with us to Atlanta. I'm so excited for this step of our lives. The last week or so since finishing in the military has been a bit of a blur. I've not really had a chance to stop and think about it all as we've had so much to get sorted for the move. It's been a bit of a blessing really as I think I would have gotten lost in worry had I left and had nothing to focus on.
I'm also excited as we're travelling by dad's private jet to Atlanta. It's only about a five hour flight, but I think it will be fun travelling with everyone. Ava is very excited to see everyone. I just know that she is going to be absolutely spoilt whilst we're in Atlanta with everyone. Although we obviously see dad and Lizzie a lot. Tom has been away a lot filming his own projects recently, and the rest of the cast have been back home or doing their own thing. So, it'll be nice for everyone to be back together again.
I love seeing Scarlett when she's with this cast. They really are one big family, and she is completely herself when she's around them. Her goofy side comes out and I love it. Especially when she's with Lizzie. They're sometimes more childish than Ava!
George picked us up to take us to the airport. We're collecting dad on the way, so we have a chance to say goodbye to mum too. She's waiting for us when we pull up and I'm straight out of the car to give her a hug. I'm really going to miss her whilst we're away. Though she has already planned a few visits out to Atlanta, and will be spending spring break out there too, so it's not like I won't see her at all. But she won't be just around the corner from us where I'm able to pop in and see her when I need her comfort.
"I would say keep your dad in line, but I know that it's an impossible task. So, maybe just don't let him do anything stupid." Mum says with a laugh. I raise my eyebrow at her. "Ok, he does a lot of stupid things. Don't let him do even stupider things that get him hurt." She adjusts her request, making me chuckle. "I will mum. Don't worry. I'll try and tame him as best I can." I promise, my arm firmly looped around her as we watch Ava with Exton and Avri. "I'll call you as often as possible and let me know your flight times and I'll come and get you." I tell her. "You don't need to do that. I can get Robert to." She declines but I shake my head. "Please, I'm currently jobless and it'll make me feel useful." I plead.
"Fine. But remember, you're not unemployed. You're Marvel's musical consultant." She smirks at me, and I roll my eyes. She's not wrong, but it sounds a lot fancier than it is. I've been working with Alan on finishing up the Real Hero and part of that was getting a contract with Marvel, so I was officially able to help him on the other music too. It's nothing more than visits to the studio or calls to discuss the different compositions. But I'm enjoying it and learning a lot.
Alan will be out in Atlanta for a bit of time to go over the music with the Russo brothers and Kevin Feige. He's asked me to join him, which is very nerve wracking, but he's not really a man that you say no to. At the moment, I'm just going with the flow of it all. Although I have a contract, there is no commitment beyond that so I'm just enjoying it and just seeing where it takes me.
I still like the idea of opening a new venue with Sophie. But we've not really had a chance to talk about it any further. She's staying with us for a couple of weeks to help plan the wedding, so I hope that we can talk a bit more and I can see if it's something that I want to do. Maybe I could get the perfect ratio of working with Sophie and on music. But that would just be greedy, wouldn't it?
After saying goodbye to mum, we make our way to the airport. Dad's a little quieter than usual, and I know it's because he's sad that he won't be with mum and the kids for a few weeks. Not many people this side of dad, but he is a true family man, and he always gets sad when he's away from them. But as soon as we're at the airport, I can guarantee that he'll be playing up to everyone. As much as I hate that he does that, I'm grateful that he feels like he can be his real self with us.
