Scarlett's POV:
We're finally going on our honeymoon! Don't get me wrong, it's been great having these few days to spend with everyone after the wedding, but it's almost felt like we were in limbo waiting to jet off for our ten days of pure bliss. What's crazy is this is the first vacation that Y/n and I have gone on by ourselves. Every other trip we've had Ava with us. Which I've loved. But this is time just for us and I'm planning on making the most of it.
Although it's a relatively early start, it's quite relaxed as we don't have to rush to the airport. We've having the full private experience today and being taken straight to the jet, so we don't need to worry about fighting our way through the airport. My mom was up before us, making us all a nice breakfast. I'm sure it was the smell of bacon that woke Y/n up this morning as I watched her nose twitch cutely as she slowly opened her eyes.
We woke Ava together, and although it's early, she was excited to see us before we got ready to leave. Especially because we had a nice family breakfast beforehand. I know that she is going to be spoilt whilst we're away. Between our parents, she is going to want for nothing and I'm sure we're going to come home to a whole load of new toys that they have bought her. But she can have this time to be spoilt too!
When we've finished eating, Ava and I help clear up whilst Y/n goes and grabs our bags. She carries them effortlessly down the stairs and places them by the front door, ready for when George arrives. We move into the living room and spend some time together in a group snuggle on the couch. "I hope you have a lovely time. Will you bring me back something?" Ava says sweetly, making Y/n chuckle. "Well now you've asked it won't be a surprise." She teases making Ava pout. "I'll pretend I didn't say anything." Ava quickly says giving Y/n a wink. I laugh at their little antics together. "I guess something might fall in our bag for you." Y/n shrugs as Ava's eyes widen.
When we hear the car pull up, we stand up and I take Ava in my arms. "Be a good girl for nana and papa ok." I tell her and she nods. "I'm always good." She defends, with her arm clinging around my neck. "Mom, don't let her have sugar too close to bed or she won't sleep." I turn my attention to my mom who holds her hands up in offense. "Me?!" She asks, winking at Ava. I just roll my eyes and wrap Ava in a tight hug. "I love you and we'll see you when we're home." I tell her, placing a kiss on her cheek. "I love you too, mama." Ava replies.
I then hand her over to Y/n so she can say goodbye as I turn to my parents. "Make sure you make the most of your time away together. Life is going to hit you both real fast when you get back. This is your time just for the two of you." Mom advises and I nod. "I know. I'm trying not to think of the fact that once we're back, it's not long until I go to Europe for filming." I sigh, shaking those thoughts from my head. "Please make sure Ava is ok." I plead to them both as I end my hug with my dad. "What do you take us for?" Dad asks with a grin. "Easily led grandparents." I mumble, which earns me a swift clip around the ear. "Love you!" I smirk, heading towards the door where Y/n is waiting for me.
We greet George outside, and he helps Y/n to put our backs in the trunk. She then moves around to open my door for me. "Such a gentlewoman." I smile, thanking her with a quick kiss. As soon as the door is shut, I open the window and hold my hand out to Y/n as she climbs in the other side. She takes it easily and leans over so we can both wave goodbye out of the window as George drives off.
It's a nice drive to the airport. We're chatting away with George over everything that we have planned for our trip. Well, not everything. I'm surprisingly awake considering I didn't sleep much, and we've been up early. But I think the excitement for the day is giving me the energy to keep going.
As we get closer to the airport, Y/n looks up and turns to me. "Wasn't that the exit for the airport?" She asks a little confused. "For arrivals and departures yes." George answers for her. "Aren't we departing?" She questions, her brow still furrowed. "You are, but as you're flying private you have a different entrance. It's just this next exit here." George points out, pulling off the highway.
