Almost an eclipse, but clouds pull over A blanket of fluff now covers her The Earth still cloaked in darkness be Looming shadows, but not a sight to see
Breaths held in anticipation Turn into sighs of frustration Hope like a house of cards Over by the time gusts part the clouds
Instant, it wasn't even overcast Sunny, unreliable, like life's forecast Mark my calendar, another misfortune Lunar eclipse midday or on a new moon
Does the marvel of nature not want to comply Staying out of reach of the human eye Is there value for mortal hope and effort To oggle at nature in all her splendor
It's not every day that something happens Special, unpredictable relief from madness Back to the mundane, earphones in Music flowing all around and within
One last look at that latent eclipse Life like there was a reversal of the eclipse Came that close to go back their ways This was fated, too good to be true
