It's a concoction

It happens to be an experiment
One that can't ever substitute purple
There's the fake purple too
For instance without the test of time
Time that could prove lack of loyalty
Yet I've learnt that even if I've been
An acquaintance for a while
There were times I didn't notice
Yet at the extreme lowest
No one but you stood up
You walked over to a stranger
Yet you called me family
I was freezing in the summer
Darkness seeking me out
Yet you recognized that pain inside
And you took me in
In a room like an old trinket shop
What today I call my magic shop
Not because I have got a wand
But only because I felt it
Something that healed
Working better than any medicine
It was here that I felt purple
One of the millions
Catered to by seven
Like guardian angels they were
Never running out of blood
I've never actually met them
I've opened had the money to spend
Yet they still reach out
To someone like me
In a place so really unknown
Never thought I'd look up to someone
Never thought I'd join a fandom
Never thought I'd find a family
Not by blood but by purple

If you'd told me I'd be a fandom
I'd have cackled
In a someone's words
Who I actually met through this
That's a story that's churned too much
The ins and outs of
How I ended up here isn't really out
But I'd been at the door
Peering in that magic shop
For a few years before I knocked
Realized it was open and stepped in
Till then it wagching them and others
Performing out on the streets
Their home not this comfy
Hopping between music shows
Hearts full of ambition
I didn't think I'd walk in
Never did for another
But when I did
It was warm
Not just a few, it was a family
A whole YoUniverse
The first moment on
I was their homi(e)
They purpled me
And we were instantly familiar
They were seven
I watched them from day 1
Then it's all of a sudden 7 years
Something I didn't expect
But when it was freezing in my heart
And many others were fine
Even while on that very street
Their door for me was open
Warmth thawing all pain and doubt
I didn't look for mainstream
I saw talent and uniqueness
Yet what grasped was love
And I'm never getting enough
A lesser known me to some
The only side known to others
Yet a side that has grewn me
Like natural locks
After that stiff mess of treatments
A combo of dye, bleach and what not
A new me
Confident, powerful and overall
Just who I really was
I came through
You came in
We came together
There's nothing but love within
