That's when it all takes a turn
Got the curve ball, now take a fast
Let's watch this pretty paper ceiling
With the spectacular chandelier rip to shreds
Like his whip across my back
Here I reminisce under open tap
Huddled in a corner for her warmth
The unresolving torrent and tears
Hands that held on now just let go
I shouldn't let all these emotions show
That crack of lightning down my spine
Please don't stay to watch when I die
Said I wouldn't take it once and it happened thrice
The closest to this frail heart of glass
Ones who rip me and from me apart
Why do I run on these shards
Right into your arms; we hardly speak
Ever so rarely did we hit it right
But I'm just dumb and utterly silly
Bleeding onto my confidant's cloak
How do you even feel?!
I wish I knew for sure
I'll assume you're annoyed and vexed
I don't even know I feel myself.
