Thundering showers
Humid warmth
Waves crashing
Moss and mould in abundance
Some waves broken by rocks
Some splashing the shore
Some too tall and strong
Pulverising far and wide

The sea may have mood swings
Just like me and you
Calm waters, whirlpools
Tsunamis and typhoons

But beyond peril of water
And of it's ecosystem
Is the torture of it's absence
There's the deserts

Parched and cracked
Scorching hot
No water on Land
No humidity in the air

Like dry cake or bread
Maybe crumbly or too tough
Impossible to bite
Forget to swallow

Like a dry sponge
Ready to soak up any water
From air or anywhere around
Or like someone
I was once a desert
Feeling dry as bone
Looking for a mere drop of hope
I used to isolate
But that meant geographically
Being disconnected
Even from rainforests
And all forms of water

Giving illusions of my own water
All just a mirage
The blood boiling heat
With no sign of an oasis

I found things that could distract
Movement
Fitting into a team
But not everything is unrestrained
Then I broke that streak
Put on headphones
Turned the volume up
Tuned the world out

Gears turned again
Like each trial and error
But this time all clicked in place
I found myself

It wasn't just another
Not an oasis or a shower
I found the sea
An ocean "If we are together
Even a desert can
Become an ocean" ~Zeta
