Getting to know someone isn't as much of an endeavour as is finding the right
One - with our many varied tastes and skills, the eye of the storm of similarity
Life lead the strings to meet, the puppets tripped up, but you got me and I got you back
Down from the ground you could pick me up, we've misunderstood, but we patched things up
Everything didn't turn into rainbows and unicorns, but that's where were headed, silently
No one's pace, but ours
Many a times you've stayed with me, a pause to rest and climb out of a pit of despair
At times you chose to jump right in and get me back out in a way no one ever could or would
Killing me is the distance, that in my head never had to be
Nevertheless lives and circumstances go on as they should and I'm glad for all these steps you took
And at last don't forget that no matter how much we bicker, we're always staying close and this friendship,
Everlasting.
