Mini went out of his room and Poonam entered the house.
Mini: Maasi..
Poonam: Mini, beta darwaza khula tha raat bhar.. band nahin kiya tune?
Mini: Umm.. woh Maasi.. kal raat ko jab Neil wapas aaya toh.. actually uska accident ho gaya hai..
Poonam: Kya?
Mini: Haan ... Par theek hai woh. Pair par chot aayi hai.. kuch dino mein theek ho jayega.. aur isliye shayad darwaza band karna bhool gayi main.
Poonam: Woh toh theek hai par Neil...
Mini: Don't worry.. he's fine.
Poonam: Acha tu ja taiyaar ho ja. Arya ko maine ready kar diya hai school ke liye. Tera wait kar rahi hai woh.
Mini: Haan par Neil ko mat jane dena aaj. Waise toh theek toh hai lekin...
Poonam: Haan theek hai. Tu ja.
Mini returned home and saw Arya sitting on the sofa sulkily.
Mini: Chhutanki.. kya hua tumhe?
Arya: Kahan thi tum raat bhar? Mujhe chhod kar kahan chali gayi thi?
Mini: Woh Arya... Mujhe kuch kaam tha.. toh.. abhi yeh baatein chhodo naa.. school nahin jana tumhe?
Arya: Tumhe bhi toh jana. Tum toh ready bhi nahin ho.
Mini: Haan.. Arya, Rani didi aati hongi. Tum unke sath chali jana. Mujhe thoda time lagega.
Arya: Kyun? Time kyun lagega?
Mini: Kyunki mujhe ready bhi hona hai aur pehle kuch kaam hai..
Arya: Kya kaam hai? Aur tum raat ko kahan thi?
Mini: Hey matarani! Kitne sawal karti hai ye!!.. Main.. main Neil ke sath thi... (Thought something for a while) Accha Arya... Neil naa bahot sad hai.. uska mood theek karna chahiye naa?
Arya: Haan.. par kyun? Kya hua hai Neil ko?
Mini: Woh.. usko.. uske ek purane friend ne usey hurt kiya hai.
Arya: I see. Par ab humein kya karna chahiye, Veer Balika?
Mini: Mere paas ek plan hai...
The sisters discussed with each other. Arya seemed excited.
Mini: Chalo, abhi tum school jao. Rani didi bhi aa gayi hain.
Arya happily hugged her and left. Mini got busy at some work and later went off to her workplace. In the meantime...
Neil: Aunty, please let me go. Main theek hoon ab.
Poonam: Arre kahan theek ho? Aur jaaoge kaise?
Neil: Bike se.. aur kaise?
Poonam: Wohi toh... Kal chain nahin mila tumhe yeh accident karwa ke, ki ab phir se ussi bike se jana chahte ho?
Neil: Aunty please.. main jaldi aa jaunga. Trust me, I'm feeling much better. Aur.. main bahot careful rahunga... Please jane do..
Poonam: Neil, tum iss halat mein kya logo ka ilaaj karoge? Tumhe khud aaram ki zaroorat hai.
Neil: Aapko zaroor Mini ne mana kiya hoga.
Poonam: Haan. Kiya hai. Aur agar woh na bhi bolti toh bhi maine nahin jane dena tha tumhe.
Neil whined like Arya while she smiled and went out of his room. He felt wretched of his situation as he wished to move out of the house but couldn't. In a complaining tone like a little kid, he said to himself..
"Khud toh madam yahan hai nahin aur mujhe ghar mein band karwa diya hai."
After a long time of feeling desolated and exhausted due to health issues, he lied down on his bed and took a long nap.

"Where's Neil?"
"Dr. Oberoi is on leave today."
"What?! With whose permission?"
"He ran into an accident last night.. so.."
"Accident? What sort of accident?.. anyway, leave it! But I deserve to know beforehand.. you may leave now!"
He felt insulted but the fear of losing his job didn't let him answer back. He walked out of the cabin, slamming the door shut. Ritwik, who was passing by, stopped midway after seeing him coming out.
"What happened Dr. Sethi? Itne gusse mein kyun ho?"
"Yaar what does she think of herself? 2 din huye nahin isey join kiye huye aur itna attitude!?"
"I know yaar, Yash.. maine bola tha dad ko par you know naa.. unka decision tha isey hire karne ka.. anyway, chhod yaar.. hai toh boss hi." Ritwik replied.
"Of course, but even I'm a reputed doctor here. Mana ki senior hai woh par main bhi administrative assistant hoon. Aur iss apne career mein na sahi par iss hospital mein senior hoon main bhi."
"Arre par hua kya?"
"Itna rudely jane ke liye bol diya. Baat karni aati nahin hai. Aur Neil ke liye toh aise puch rahi thi jaise dost ho uska.. doston ka toh phir bhi haal chaal puch lete hain but this lady is so insensitive!! Yaar Ritwik aaj toh maine sun liya lekin agar aisa hi chala toh I'll take this matter to the higher authorities." Yash answered in a displeased way and left.
On the other side, Mini was busy planning something for Neil. She knew he had not been feeling emotionally well for quite some time due to varied reasons, and hence to brighten up his mood she decided to meet and seek help from his childhood friend, Bobby.
Bobby: Hi.. please come.. come in
They both entered inside and seated themselves on the couch.
Mini: I'm really sorry.. main aise bina baat kiye, suddenly aa gayi.
Bobby: Nahi nahi.. isme sorry wali kya baat hai? Par zahir hai ki achanak aayi ho toh zaroori baat hogi.
Mini: Hmm? Haan, haan of course. Sorry, woh kuch sochne lagi thi. Umm, Poonam maasi se tumhara address mila mujhe. Waise, I tried calling you but your number was unreachable. Isliye aise aana pada.
Bobby: That's alright! Explanation ki zaroorat nahin hai.. Oh, I am so sorry.. I didn't ask you. What would you like have, tea or coffee, or something else?
Mini: Nahi.. nothing. Thanks. Mujhe bas Neil ke baare mein baat karni thi. Tum uske bachpan ke dost ho. Tumhe toh pata hoga uske past ke baare mein? Look, I know I should directly talk to him but he's not in this state right now. Aur main bas uski help karna chahti hoon. Usne bataya hai mujhe sab lekin main uske past ko sirf jaan na nahi chahti. Us past ko dekhna chahti hoon. Kyunki uska yeh past uske present par affect kar raha hai aur yeh theek nahi hai uske liye. I want to meet the people who are accountable of his situation.
Bobby: I respect your concern but... Neil ko accha nahin lagega. Aur agar woh itna hi disturbed hai toh kyun uske past mein jake phir se wohi sab baatein kuredna chahti ho? I understand you want to genuinely help him lekin agar help ki jagah woh aur hurt ho gaya toh?
Mini: Nahi hoga. Please trust me. Main usey hurt nahin hone dungi. Pehle hi meri wajah se bahot hurt hua hai woh par ab nahin.. Main bas baat karna chahti hoon. Bobby, main bahot umeed se aayi hoon yahan. Please. Please help me!
He smiled at her and nodded his head. She sighed in relief and smiled back at him. They shook their hands before Mini left.
