Part 37 - Neil has a new companion

Arya: Tum bahot buri ho Veer Balika! Tumne Neil se aise kyun baat ki? Mujhe tumhare sath nahi rehna. Main ja rahi hoon.

Mini: Shut up Arya!! Yeh rona dhona band karo. Aur kahin nahi jaogi tum. Mere sath rehna acha lagta ho ya nahi... you don't have any option. Go and wash your face! Aur sona tha naa tumhe? Toh rona band karo aur so jao. Main bahar ja rahi hoon. Koi drama mat karna ab! Bahot kaam hai mujhe.

Arya: Main jaungi! Mujhe yahan nahi rehna. Main ja rahi hoon Neil ke paas.

Mini: Bas karo Arya!! Ek thappad khaogi ab! Ye kya Neil Neil laga ke rakha hai? Kaha naa tum nahin jaogi kahin bhi. Toh bas nahin jaogi. Wash your face and sleep!

She slammed the door of Arya's room shut and walked out. She went straight to her room and locked it from within. Supporting her back on the door, she kept her hand on her mouth to stop herself from sobbing. She slowly broke down on the floor, sliding down from the door.

Mini: (to herself) I'm sorry Arya. I know you're hurt and I'm the reason.. I.. I never wanted to hurt you chhutanki. I'm really sorry.

After what felt like an eternity, she somehow controlled her emotional state and wiped off her running tears. She decided to focus on other important things just to divert her mind from everything. Rani came and Mini got busy in instructing her about everything. On the other hand, Poonam was still disturbed. She decided to talk to Preet as neither Neil nor Mini was telling her anything. She went to Preet's house.

Preet: What?! Mini ghar chhod kar chali gayi? Oh God! Kitna samjhaya tha usko ki.. baat toh karti..

Poonam: Preet, beta kya ho raha hai yeh sab? Mujhe toh kuch samajh nahin aa raha. Yeh dono aise kyun behave kar rahe hain? Main 2-3 mahine se nahi thi yahan... Aisa kya ho gaya itne time mein? Chal kya raha hai yeh?.. bol naa Preet!!

Preet: Maasi.. aap shaant ho jaiye pehle.. (she sighed) Baat bas itni hai ki ... Maasi, Mini Neil se pyaar karti hai.

Poonam: Kya? Par.. usne khud kyun nahi bataya mujhe? Sab share karti thi mujhse.. toh yeh kyun nahi?

Preet: Aap thi nahin yahan, shayad isliye.. par baat sirf itni nahin hai naa, Maasi. Kal raat ko usey pata chala ki Neil...

Poonam: Neil usse pyar nahin karta?.. bas itni si baat ke liye woh ghar chhod kar chali gayi?

Preet: Nahin Maasi.. woh baat nahin hai. Neil married hai.

Poonam: Kya? ... Kya bol rahi hai tu? Mini ko aisa kyun lagta hai?

Preet: Woh kal uss ladki se bhi mili hai.

Poonam: Aisa kaise ho sakta hai?

Preet: Kyun?

Poonam: Preet, Neil mera kirayedar hai. Uski ek ek detail hai mere paas. Aise hi thodi rakh liya tha maine usey apne ghar. Aur ache se yaad hai mujhe, jab usne details di thi usne likha tha ki woh unmarried hai. Haan, uske parents hain yahin Dilli mein par wife?? Nahin. Mujhe nahi lagta. Aur Neil jhuth bolega, aisa bhi nahin lagta woh. Itna toh janti hoon main...

Preet: I don't know. Main toh bas wohi bata rahi hoon aapko jo Mini ne mujhe bataya hai.

Poonam: Nahin.. main Neil se baat karti hoon. Kuch toh baat aur hai.

Preet: Haan. Maine Mini ko bhi samjhane ki koshish ki par..

Poonam: Woh abhi nahin samjhegi. Usse chhod de kuch waqt ke liye aise hi... Thank you Preet. Main chalti hoon.

Preet: Par Maasi, aap Neil se puchoge toh woh batayega? Matlab, kya gaurantee hai ki woh aapko sab kuch bata dega. Jo baat usne abhi tak Mini ko hi nahin batayi.. woh aapko kyun batayega?
