"Now why didn't you go to the game Liv?" Kayla sat next to Olivia, manually inputting data into the laptop. They were updating their records and it would be a long process since the other nurses scheduled were at the Nets vs. Heat home game.

"Cause who was going to work Kayla?"

Most of their unit decided to either call out or leave early. The interns and doctors on residency seemed to be handling things fine for the time being.

"You said Nic invited you right?" Nic did invite Olivia. He also became distant as his team began losing games.

"And then he got in this mood. I decided to focus on work. I'm not chasing after him."

"Did you at least check on him?" Kayla rose her brow.

No, nope, hell Nah.

"No, he clearly didn't want to be bothered" Kayla didn't peg Olivia to be situationally unaware but, as it's been proven: the signs were there and she wasn't picking up on them.

"Text that man back, give him some type of encouragement, damn!"

Wanda walked into the room to see her two favorite girls, "What y'all in here fussing about?"

"Olivia being mean to her baller bae." Liv rolled her eyes, not understanding what the big deal was. "I'm not being mean to him. Just not kissing his ass."

"Well what happened?"

Olivia explained their last few conversations and Wanda instantly understood. "Work is stressing you young people out, I just.. what can we do to fix that? Besides you taking a vacation, I think you need a break to just be in your own space."

Olivia took the first steps to that. After her meeting with the ethics board last week, she spent her following week working exclusively with Dr. Marshall. The board thought the two needed a chance to work together, learn each other and trust one another to be there when it counted.

"You heading out Olivia?" Dr. Marshall asked entering the locker room. "Yeah, I am. Much needed days off and then I'll see you guys at the end of the week."

"You're taking days off?"
"Absolutely am. Not like anyone is gonna miss me. Y'all been calling me a drill sergeant and been wanting me away"

"Well I sure will." She looked over at him confused. "Maybe when you come back we could do lunch?"

"We'll see Dr. Marshall. Saving lives comes first though."

Olivia wasn't sure when she fell asleep, but she knew being woken up in the middle of the night was not in her first day off plans. The music from next door blared through the speakers and bounced off the walls.

"Fuck this." She would be addressing whoever caused her such trouble.

Rapidly banging on the door, she awaited for someone to answer not planning on leaving like she did the last time. The door swung open revealing Ben.

"Oh snaps, hey nurse bae! You here to party too?" She blinked a few times wondering why he was at the door. "You live here?"

"Hell no, come in and get a drink. Why you look so mad?" Ben quickly closed the door behind them. There was a full blown party happening right now. Her leisure wear crop and shorts set were out of dress code.

"Cam get Olivia a drink!"

"Congratulations on the win." She remembered the game ended before she went to sleep.

"Thank you, thank you. Nic should be around here somewhere. I mean it is his place." She snapped her neck to look at Ben wildly.

"I'm sorry, he lives here?!"
