"They not back yet?" Stefon asked waking up for the third time in the last two hours. His constant pestering was becoming annoying. His family was still at the store.

Jade called Sierra wondering what was wrong. "Where are y'all?"

"We're stuck at the resort. The storm got bad. Y'all haven't seen outside?" Stefon had closed the shades to their bedroom long ago, the light from the window woke him up the first two days and he refused for it to happen again.

Jade got up, practically tossing him off the bed to see what outside looked like. It was a winter wonderland. A beautiful sight indeed. "Damn, we really stuck in here."

Jade was fearful of being alone with him for too long. The energy was starting to shift and she couldn't deny that she was falling right back into his cyclone of love. Her mind drifted back to that day where they first explored one another.

Flashback

Stefon had Jade in a daze as his hands held onto her body. His weight leaning into her as he kissed her neck. Their group chat with their friends were blowing up about the plans for tonight, but neither could be bothered with that.

"Stef." She gasped as his lips covered her exposed chest. "Take this off Bunny." Her quarter zip soon tossed into his desk chair as he played with the straps of the bra.

Jade was thankful that she wore matches today because it was going to be her laundry day had it not been raining. By now he tossed his shirt and was working his way to take her tights off and panties off. She unclipped her bra dropping it off the side of the bed.

Stefon took a moment to look at her now naked body. He knew the moment he saw the little tail wag in her costume, that he needed to have her. A year later, they were in the same class, friend group and now he was going to mark her as his.

"Damn girl." She blushed as he massaged her thighs, she was covering her face and he didn't like that. "Nah, don't hide from me." Taking her hands in his, he kissed her fingers.

Stefon took his time with her, completely enjoying every moment of their first time. Jade spent the night and from then on, they were locked in. They didn't tell their friends until after their third date. But all were happy for the new Union amongst them.

"Did you actually eat?" He asked pulling himself out of bed. "Not since we got back. Why you getting up?"

"Cause I wanna watch a movie, let's go to the living room."

Stefon laid between Jade's legs on the couch with a bowl of popcorn. His phone buzzed and it was Yanisa with work updates. He could tell that the constant movement he had to do to respond that Jade was starting to get annoyed. Finally putting his phone away, he turned on his side to lay his face on her stomach.

"Jade I'm really tired of this shit." His time caught her off guard. "You really left me over some insecure shit and I never gave you a reason to feel like I wasn't all about you."

With the hardest push, Jade got from under him and didn't care that the popcorn spilled. "Stefon Marsean Diggs you're an asshole. I swear to God there was a reason all of this with Yanisa and them other bitches happened."

"How am I the asshole?! Fuck did I do?"

They were lucky no one was in the house because they could yell as loud as they wanted with no interruptions.

"You are a liar and a gaslighter and that's how we got here. Don't spin it on me." She pointed her freshly painted nail in his face.

"Get your hands out of my face. You on that bullshit man."

"No, cause let's talk about it. You had me out here looking stupid over you because you couldn't keep it in your pants. I'm at home raising our daughter and you're just fucking bitches and catching a damn ball!"

Stefon had enough of the accusations. He went into their room in his work bag was his laptop. He had been gathering evidence to prove his innocence. Saving conversations, recording phone calls, anything. But he had the one piece of evidence that would change the course of the argument.

"Like I said Jade. All of it was insecurity. I never cheated on you, I love you and I love Nova. I wouldn't do that to y'all. I fucked up by being an ass but I ain't do nothing with Yanisa or anybody else"

Jade looked through the text messages, the emails everything. And what Yanisa sent her did not match up.

"You didn't talk to me for a month. Everything I tried, you rejected. I'm grateful you didn't take Nova completely away, and that I could see her and keep her when I wanted, but it ain't no home without you. You had me fucked up, couldn't play for weeks cause all I could focus on was how I would get my family back."

Jade didn't know what to say, she felt stupid. She allowed someone outside of their unit to sway her into believing he could do that. Granted, Stefon didn't help that at all.

"That game against Dallas, the one where we all went. You looked at me and I saw the light leave your eyes. Everything went down hill from there. What happened?" Jade needed to know why that game changed their relationship.

"Dak. It was Dak." Stefon admitted. "I hadn't seen you talk to nobody for that long in a long time, I felt like it was the beginning of you pulling away from me."

The pot calling the kettle black. Insecurities were nothing but the devil pulling good people away from each other.

"You asked me where I was and why I was late picking up Nova from your parents that night. It's because I was with my mom trying to find you a fucking engagement ring. Jade I wanted to marry you. You had me on my hands and knees pleaded with you to not leave me and you walked out with our daughter."

He wanted to marry her. Stefon wanted to marry Jade. To change her last name and now, now they were ripping each other apart due to others trying to come between them.

Before Jade could respond, the Diggs family stormed in ready to talk about their long day at the resort. Stephanie and Sierra were straight to the kitchen while Aaiden came over to help Jade clean up the popcorn.

"You okay Auntie Jade? Are you sad because you missed us?" She weakly smiled wiping away her tears. "Yeah, I'm so happy you're back. I can finally give you your birthday gifts"

Aaiden cheered gaining the attention of the other adults in the room. Jade looked around to see if Stefon was still close, but he was nowhere to be found.
