The sequel to U+Me+Her. If you haven't read, tune innnnnnn.

Seven was frustrated. It was a little after 3 AM and here she was, up thinking about her very canceled date with Jordan.

It started off as a simple bit of flirting. She didn't take him seriously and that was his problem. After texting, FaceTime and a few pop ups, Jordan was tired of chasing her. He loved a good pursuit but she didn't seem interested and he rather not look like a fool.

Having enough, he cancelled their date and hadn't spoken to her since. At this point the next time she would see him would be at Juan and Audi's gender reveal.

Her friends were having a baby and she was excited for them. They all were long over their one night stand and were genuinely friends. Audi and Seven spoke on the phone all the time.

"What's up bro?" Juan greeted a distracted Jordan.

For the last two weeks, Jordan only thought about playing ball and what on earth Seven was up to. Of course he wanted to talk to her, but he had to stand firm on his boundaries. He wasn't going to set himself up for failure.

"Shit, nothing."

Juan looked at his friend before picking up another box to take it into the house. "You sure man?"

Juan knew what was going on, but he wouldn't say anything unless it was directly stated that was the problem.

"Man, Seven get on my fucking nerves." Jordan huffed placing the box he was carrying in Juan's family backyard.

"What now? Y'all be at it more than people in relationships."

He wasn't wrong. It seemed like the little bickering finally turned into a larger disagreement. Jordan wanted to understand why she was so resistant after the effort he put in. It was real, he wasn't trying to get in her pants.

Well...

He wouldn't lie and say he wasn't, but his intentions were to get to know her. While he tried that, he wanted to know if she felt the same.

"She keep playing and I don't have time to waste. So I canceled our date. She act like she didn't want to go with me."

"Nigga you barely 24, you got time to waste." Juan joked. "But is it really that bad or you just impatient?"

Juan knew it was a bit of both but Jordan never paid attention to his wrongs and that's why he never made it far in other relationships.

"Juanito, baby when are you feeding me?" Audi asked entering the backyard.

"Right now, what you want to eat?" He asked stepping around his station to greet the mother of his child. "I want Alfredo. I'm just really in the mood for noodles and cheese."

Juan did exactly as asked and bough food for his lover and their growing child. Jordan on the other hand made himself busy as the sidekick during the food excursion.

"Jordan, is that you?" A voice called from behind them in the local establishment. Juan turned around first and mentally rolled his eyes.

Cierra.

An old fling of Jordan's who moved to New York for her modeling career. They had a fallen out due to her always being in some mess she had no business being in.

"Ci, hey." He greeted genuinely surprised to see her.

Her hug around his neck was intentional while he loosely held her back. "It's been so long. How you been? Hey Juan."
