"I heard good things from Reuben."

The following morning, Reagan and Jayson would be sitting down and having breakfast together. Reuben and Javier were away with the family completing tasks and would be back later for the preparation of the party.

"That's good. He's a cool dude." A relaxing silence fell amongst them. Neither bothered by it. The breeze had the world on tilt, the birds still arising together. It was a beautiful scene.

"Al said he's surprised we haven't killed each other yet." Jayson showed Reagan the text thread.

"Jay also asked did you get in my panties or not too." She snickered as he quickly took his phone back to see the wild message from his friend. "Sorry about that."

"It's fine. I know how y'all are." She continued to laugh. Jayson was mildly embarrassed by it because it was not something he felt was appropriate to talk about, especially right now.

"Who is y'all?"

"You men. I know how y'all think. You wanna get in my panties Jayson, is that it?" She smirked trying to make him sweat.

"You wish Mitch." He waved her off.

"That's too bad. If you weren't a thorn in my side I would consider letting you see them."

Jayson gave a tight lipped grin as Griselda, brought out another tray of food. "Gracias." Reagan quickly thanked as she looked anywhere but Jayson.

"I hope you both are enjoying your time in Tulum. Have you been to any of the resorts activities yet?"

It had been two days and they had only experienced the grounds of the villa. It was a business trip so they didn't expect to have this much free time.

"Just business." Jayson simply answered.

"What he means is, we've only been in business meetings so we haven't had time."

"I'll give you my recommendations."

Somehow they ended up at an event catered to Black people in Tulum. It wasn't hard for them to get a cabana or for Reagan to make temporary friends. She was a low maintenance person and could easily talk to anyone. Jayson kept her close as they sat in the middle of strangers. Some of the girls brought over their boyfriends, one nighters, etc.

"You want another drink?" Reagan's asked, preparing to stand up. "Nah, I'm good." She nodded, understanding that Jayson wasn't a big drinker and the fact that he was in a foreign place, around strangers. His fun would be limited.

"How long y'all been together?" One of the cabana mates asked. Reagan tilted her head to the side in confusion. "Yeah, I'm asking you girly."

She wondered why anyone thought her and Jayson were together but she looked down and saw how his arm was wrapped around her as she sat between his legs.

"Babe, you wanna tell her how long we been together?" She smirked looking up at Jayson. Even with his dark tinted Armani shades on, she could tell he was glaring at her. "Too long, she at the point where she annoying"

This caused the stranger to laugh. "That's cute. Me and my man been together for a year. This is our anniversary trip."

"Congratulations on that." They were both surprised Jayson said something else. "Love is really something special right?"

Two Hours Later

No one could predict Jayson getting drunk and placing open mouth kisses on Reagan's stomach as she stood on the couch of the cabana. Casually throwing ones as girls danced behind them, she couldn't help but feel butterflies as he kissed her lower abdomen above her bikini bottoms.

"Girl, he wanna leave. Take that man home." Someone joked. Jayson laughed and nodded in agreement, he was ready to go back to the villa. He didn't have specific plans, he just knew it was time for bed and that the liquor was getting the best of him.

"You ready to go?" She asked leaning over him to whisper in his ear. "Yeah, for sure."

Reagan grabbed her bag in one hand and his hand in her other before leading him out of the beach front bar. They walked a bit down the road and Jayson held onto her as she navigated him back to the front of the resort.

"You okay?" She asked after helping him into the car. Their driver was irá the restaurant grabbing food for the road. "Yeah, come sit."

Reagan climbed into the van to sit next to him but Jayson pulled her onto his lap. "Today was nice right?" She asked as he snuggled into her.

"Yeah, I'm tired as shit though."

They knew tomorrow would be long based on the party they were invited to attend.

••••

The duo shared the exhaustion as they walked into Jayson's room. She only had a few more doors to go but decided to take a break before going down the hall.

The lights in the room were deem as it was early evening. Jayson's head was spinning. He thanked God that he was able to lay down in peace. Reagan absentmindedly helped him out of his clothes as he lazily laid on the bed.

"Do you think you're gonna throw up?" Jayson wasn't sure and the silence was taken as a sign to grab a trash can anyways. He watched as she walked around the room getting things to assist him through his drunkenness.

He didn't like the feeling he got when she was away from him. He hated feeling anything towards someone. It was a distraction and that would get him nowhere in this business.

Reagan finally sat beside him with a cool towel for his forehead and advil for his head. "Drink this." She handed him a cup of water to wash down the pills.

"Mhm" he mumbled as a thank you. Jayson's head was soon on the pillow. Regean felt relieved as she tucked him in and walked to the door.

"Senorita Mitchell, just the woman I wanted to see."

Javier was in front of her room, about to knock on the door. He hadn't seen her all day and loved that he finally got the chance. "Is Jayson okay?"

"Yeah, he's good. Just has a headache and probably some sunburn." The second part wasn't as likely as the first, but she knew Javier really didn't care for Jayson in the first place.

"Well, glad you guys made it back safely. Can't wait for you to meet the whole family tomorrow."

She smiled awkwardly not understanding the excitement. "Yeah, sounds good. Was there anything you needed?"

"Ah, yes. After the party would you mind stepping off property with me for a date?"

Reagan should've predicted this would happen. Seeing Javier every day gave him the boost of confidence he needed to finally ask her. He was an attractive guy but she just didn't envision herself dating anyone in particular. She never did which is why she said yes. Just to see if the problem was the right time, wrong guy.
