The aftermath of Aaiden's birthday weekend, truly change the dynamic in Stefon and Jade's relationship. Since then they started off with giving each other space, and too much space created this awkward cloud over their heads. She now knew that he intended on marrying her, but her lack of trust severed that possibility.
Stefon knew that it would take a long time for them to be back where they needed to be, but he was willing to wait unless he found someone else in the process.
"I'm happy that you fired the hussy. Now all you need is a new secretary, assistant, something because I am tired of doing it."
Stephanie had been doubling as nanny and assistant for her son for the last few months. The night of Aaiden's birthday, he had fired Yanisa. Prior to, he filed the paperwork for her last paycheck within the week. He had also sent a notice to other athletes that although, her ethic was there, Yanisa's methods were unconventional, and could be seen as detrimental to a working and personal relationship.
Stephanie had the pleasure of booking two rooms in Paris. One for her and Nova, and the other for Stefon and Jade. They were under the impression that, Jade would be staying with Nova and Stephanie with her son.
"Why the hotel so damn crowded? Why all these cameras out here?" Stefon stepped out of the car being swarmed by paparazzi. Stephanie and security pushed ahead, but they weren't worried about her. They had gotten wind that Stefon Diggs and Jade Morgan were staying at the same hotel and people wanted answers.
Stefon noticed Jade shielding Nova who looked scared of all the people surrounding them. He didn't care who he pushed but he made sure he got to his family.
"Hey, why did you guys come in two different cars?" "Is it true that you're broken up?" "Stefon, why did you fire your assistant?"
Stephanie had already checked them in, awaiting for their keycards. "Hand me my grand baby." Jade handed Nova over to Stephanie was excited to see her grandma.
"I'm gonna put her down for a nap in my room."
"Oh you don't have to, you could put her in my room."
"She's my roommate for the week, so it's fine." Stephanie walked off leaving Jade and Stefon to look at each other.
They knew they couldn't argue with Mama Diggs, so they would deal with it how it came. Settling into their room was awkward. To cut the tension, Stefon played some music from his speaker.
"What's on your schedule?" Jade asked, this would be their first conversation outside of their child in while. "Got Louis tonight."
"I do too. And I have Gucci and Yves tomorrow." "Yeah, same here."
Jade walked over to where he was unpacking his suitcase. Her smaller hands touching his. Stefon looked down at her, wondering what it was she had to say.
"Stefon I'm so sorry, I was wrong. I should've trusted you. I fucked up, I know." Jade couldn't stop herself from crying. One thing about Stefon though, he wasn't going to let her do that for too long.
"C'mere." Her brings her close to him for a warm embrace. She cries a little more, needing to get it out. Kissing her forehead, he pulls away.
The look in his eyes let her know.. everything was going to be okay.
