It's something about that one!

Tennessee rolled her eyes for the third time as she listened to Shilo tell their section of the class a story about his weekend. She hated him badly. He was a jock, a rich one and he never closed his mouth. There was always a joke or a story. Most annoyingly, he always had an answer for everything. It made her sick. Her friends said she could either be a hater or in love with him but Nessee would not admit to either. Her brain wouldn't accept it. She saw herself as a realist.

Shilo might have everyone else fooled, but not her. She refused to be one of his flock.

"Remember, next class you should be finished your three discussion boards and the intro to your paper." Dr. Stein reminded as the time for the class ended.

Being first out of her seat, she couldn't wait to get to the student Union for something to eat. Her friends, Dallas and McKinley were already in route and she was the furthest away from their destination.

"Carter!" She turned around to see Travis smiling at her. He was one of the few athletes she would tolerate. "What's up Hunter?"

"Leanna asked if you were joining us for dinner on Thursday?" Leanna, being his girlfriend was someone Tennessee also could tolerate. She knew this was an attempt to be friends and she wasn't the best at making them. She was surprised that her relationship with Dallas and McKinley stood the test of time. They understood her disdain for people and acted accordingly.

"What's she making?" She asked keeping her speed up. Her stomach already feeling that empty pang. Travis walked in line with her, making it easier to get to the destination. "She said she's making baked chicken, garlic mash and broccoli."

"Can she cook?"

"Damn she ask a lot of questions." Tennessee hit a hard stop as the voice from behind startled her. Unfortunately for Shilo, her abrupt movement caused him to bump into her.

"I didn't even know your sidekick was walking with us Travis." Shilo chuckled as he set sights on the young woman from their History in the Modern Era course. Tennessee, who would dip in and out of their practices and work outs. He figured she was apart of the AT staff because most of the time she had on team exclusive gear.

"Sidekick? That was cute." She even hated the direct eye contact he gave her. One of few men who dared to look her in the eyes.

"Anyways Travis, can she cook?"
"I would like to think so. Wouldn't you Shi?"

"Yeah, I would say Lee is pretty good."

Tennessee began walking again leaving them standing along the path. "Is that a yes?"

"Yeah Travis, damn!"

"And why does Leanna wanna be her friend again? She about rude as hell." Shilo didn't understand why someone with her beauty was an asshole. He wouldn't use the word bitch, his parents didn't play like that.

"She's not a groupie. It makes it easier when people aren't clout chasing."

"I think I might approach Shedeur." McKinley and Tennessee stopped eating to listen to whatever Dallas was going on about. "For why?"

Nessee just didn't get anyone's thing for ball running boys. She liked everything lowkey. McKinley was a track star and her boyfriend was in the NFL, she was the minority of good things that come from dating athletes.

"Because she's ready to admit she likes someone Nessee. I wish you would do that."

"Not everyone can be CJ."
