One month later....
It was now officially midterms, officially midnight madness, officially homecoming season. Villanova had a lot to prepare for as the next two weeks would be filled with exams, parties and games.
Josh and Sonja were practically inseparable. Right now they were in his room studying for exams for two different courses but, they liked being around one another.
"You never told me how that date went Sony."
"Within reason." She mumbled.
Sonja went on a date and it was terrible. The guy talked about the score of the game the whole time and then his plans for himself. The only thing he offered her was head, and that wasn't good either.
"Well I wanna know." She couldn't help but roll her eyes. "It was trash. Happy?"
He initially asked her to joke about it, but seeing as though she didn't laugh it off, maybe it effected her. "Did something happen? Why you acting like that?"
"Nothing I didn't allow." She shrugged, but for him that wasn't an acceptable answer, "What does that mean? He tried something with you?"
Sonja placed her highlighter down and looked up from her notes. Josh had his eyes on her, waiting for a response. "No, nothing like that. He just wasn't compatible. Bad with conversation and tried to make it up with head, it sucked."
"Oh." He awkwardly laughed, "That's all you had to say. I thought he might have tried something he wasn't supposed to."
"Were you gonna beat his ass?" She laughed for the first time during the conversation. "Sonja you know I do not play about you." He shrugged, going back to his work.
"How was your date?" She asked in return. "Wasn't as bad as yours."
"What was so special about it?" She asked completely moving her work to the side. She sat on his bed while he sat at his desk. "I never said it was special."
"Okay, what made it better than mine?"
Josh did have a good conversation with the girl he went out with, it just ended before anything could happen. After she grabbed his thigh for the fifth time, he respectfully felt there was a need to get out of there and take her home.
"Conversation wasn't boring." Sonja gave him a weird look before a lightbulb went off, "YOU GOT YOUR LIL PETER WET DIDNT YOU?"
"You sound outrageous, and stop yelling for the whole building hear that shit." He snorted.
"I sound outrageous? Either you got some pussy or you didn't sir."
"What if I did?" He countered, he didn't think it mattered but if it did, they could talk about it now.
"Then good for you. Maybe people would stop thinking you're my damn boyfriend."
Over the last month and a half, people had their thoughts on their friendship. It did come out of nowhere and it was a big change in the both of them. It didn't stop girls from trying to get with him at all. They were throwing themselves two times over at that point.
"You act like being seen with me is embarrassing." He slightly frowned. By now Sonja was sitting on his desk, crushing one of his text books. "Never that boo. You know the Don loves all her lil babies. You know you my favorite Teddy." She joked playing with his facial hair. Since they cuddled all the time, she started calling him Teddy or Bear. He smiled like one of those Care Bears too.
"Man, get out the way. Stop playing with me." He laughed as he slipped the book from under her.
They always played around like that, normally it was Sonja playing around and Josh just going along with it. As time went on, he started to become more comfortable, and he would tease her all the same.
