"dawn— please just close your eyes okay? it's a surprise" billie laughs as she holds the box behind her back.
dawn was refusing to close her eyes, last time she did that billie pied her in the face.

billie giggled, struggling to handle the squirming creature behind her back "i swear it's not a prank, come on!"

finally, dawn gave in, closing her eyes as she turned her back on billie.
billie got dawn her one kitten from her daydream because she felt so bad about her emotions letting loose at such a vulnerable moment.

she didn't even know why she cried or why she couldn't stop until dawn had stroked her cheek a thousand times and more.
"okay open," billie says as dawn turns around. dawn peered into the topless box and she turns away as quickly as she looked in.

"no, you didn't," dawn says, she couldn't help the smile forming on her face. the blush coating her cheeks because all she could think about was how much her girlfriend actually cared about her.

"i did," billie says "pick her up."

dawn does as told, nestling the kitten as if she was her newborn baby. "oh my gosh billie" was all dawn could say.
she knew that it was just a cat but she felt one step closer to her little dream, her little life.

"what are you gonna name her," billie says, petting the purring kitten's head. the cat's breed was a beautiful bengal, with the prints of a cheetah and gorgeous green eyes.

dawn couldn't think of a name, so she shrugged and sat on her bed, cuddling the unnamed kitten.

"officially a mother" billie jokes as dawn couldn't tear her eyes away. she knew billie was joking yet the sound of that made her skin tingle. she smiled to herself because gosh the way she'd adored being a mother was truly a feeling she couldn't describe.

the couple sat in bed, their cat in dawns lap. for almost thirty minutes now billie and dawn had been scrolling through numerous websites trying to figure out a name.

as of now, they've had absolutely no agreements.

"i like the name jinx dawn," billie says with a laugh, "but i like nala," dawn said in return.

billie wants to name her after the jinx from teen titans because she "loved that show" and dawn wanted to name her nala from lion king because she thought she was sweet.

dawn picks up the kitten who seemingly had attached to her over this little day. "what do you think" she asked her, "jinx or nala?"

"oh my god" billie laughed, "she's a cat she's not gonna answer!"

"dawn" billie groaned, "can we please do my suggestion? i'll do anything."

dawn laughed at her begging girlfriend. even though she adored the name nala, she wanted to save it for her real daughter.
"fine," she says, placing jinx down. billie kisses her girlfriend, kissing her everywhere rapidly.

"billie" dawn laughed loudly, but billie didn't stop because seeing dawn laugh like this was such a pleasure.
dawn couldn't stop laughing, she "actually couldn't breathe" was what she told billie.

billie picks up the cat "an official member! it's only right to do an initiation."
"stop tormenting her" dawn laughs "we're not doing no fucking initiation."

"but it's only right" billie pouts playfully, dawn takes jinx away from billie "no it's not."

"so you're telling me you wouldn't wanna initiate our daughter in the future? not everyone gets in this club you know" billie joked.
and even though billie knew dawn thought she was only joking she couldn't help but notice that small look of hope in her eyes.

"our daughter" is the words she replays in her head, she couldn't stop thinking of coming home to a family.
"no billie" she laughed, "i would not."

"you suck" billie sucks her teeth, leaning her head into dawns chest before placing jinx in her hand.

dawn really couldn't take her eyes off of billie or their new cat, all she could think about was how much she loved billie.
how much she wanted to see billie succeed and conquer every little dream she had, it was wonderful really— how much the couple cared for one another.

billie loved dawn she loved her laugh and the way she spoke to her, billie even loved the big hoodie that went down to her knees and the drool covering the side of her lip when she woke up.
dawn loved billie and her messy hair, she loved her blue eyes and gosh did dawn love billies smile, how it could light up every corner of darkness in her mind.

"i can't believe you're mine," billie says after their moment of bliss silence. "i can't believe i'm yours" is what dawn replied because she truly couldn't.

billie smiles, kissing her girlfriend and their new cat goodnight before laying down in bed.
dawn placed jinx at the end of her bed before laying herself into billie.

the only thing the two could think about was how much love they have for one another. how much care and trust they had built in just four months.

it was beautiful, it was alluring, it made you wish you were in love. it made you wish you could experience what they have.

billie and dawns love made you wish that you were them, fore' their love was indescribable. their souls were to connect— too intertwined.

their minds think too much of the same things, their personalities worked way too well together it was scary.
they worked, dawn and billie—  were one.

and that alone, is the one thing almost every soul in existence could wish for.
