3rd Person POV

In the rundown city of Liore, the sound of hammers and other tools could be heard all throughout the streets, working hard to make sure that everything was put back into place after the riots broke out from the Central forces. Taking a break from the repairs, a young alchemist by the name of Alphonse Elric sat down with a man he hadn't seen in a very long time. His father, Van Hohenheim.

Hohenheim: It's been a long time, huh, Al?

Alphonse: Yeah...

Hohenheim: So, uh... I saw Pinako recently. She told me about your body.

The father and son both stared at each other in awkward silence, off to the side, Winry, Soma, and Nana were all just anxiously waiting for something to happen, the tension only being slightly broken by Nana whispering to Soma about the strange man in front of them.

Nana: (Whispers to Soma) Who is that guy?

Soma: (Whispers back) That's Ed and Al's dad. The no-good, lousy, rotten, deadbeat bastard. Ed's words, not mine.

The awkwardness continued once again, that is until a woman called out to the side of the group, clearly there were some people that needed some assistance with the repairs with the city. And it appears as though Hohenheim was just the man for the job.

Female Resident: Hey... There he is!

Alphonse: Huh?

Male Resident: Mr. Ho! You think you could give us a hand for a bit?

Hohenheim: Yeah, sure. (Turns to Alphonse) Um... Let's catch up later, okay?

Alphonse: Oh... Okay.

As Hohenheim left to help the residents of the city, the old man at the corner shop called out to Alphonse, harkening back to when he and Edward first came to Liore, where the two of them first overthrew Father Cornello and saved the town from his corruption, but this wasn't what the older resident was referring to, instead with how Alphonse helped in a small way... By fixing the radio.

Older Man: You did a helluva job fixin' up this old radio. It works better than it used to. It doesn't even pick up static now.

Alphonse walks around the store, looking up at the radio that he fixed so long ago, long before Father and the Homunculi were even thought of. Back when the best thing he and Edward could have done for someone, was just to fix a broken radio... And now, that little radio was working perfectly, a little thing among a massive sea of wreckage...

Alphonse: I'm sorry... All this bad stuff happens because we stuck our noses in.

Older Man: Mm, don't say that. You've gotta look at all the good stuff that comes from it. You guys exposed a corrupt fraud. People reacted badly at first, but take a look.

The shopkeep points out to the city, where the hammering could be heard all throughout the city, where there was once a sea of discourse, there is now a sense of community, everyone pinching in their own ways to help bring the city back together in working order after the Central forces tore it all down.

Older Man: Sounds good, huh? The whole town's working together to rebuild what we lost. And you guys are the ones that brought us together.

Alphonse looked around the city, seeing the people all working together, helping each other rebuild their city after the forces destroyed their homes. Though he originally thought that stopping Cornello was a bad thing since it led to the Central forces starting riots in the city, but in truth, because of this, the community was more alive than ever, and now, everyone cared for each other and wanted to help rebuild everything.
