3rd Person POV

Flashbacks of the tragic encounter of Maes Hughes and his brief battle against Lust and later his demise at the hands of Envy play as Envu shuts the phone booth door, satisfied with his handiwork.

Later, Roy comes to investigate the phone booth where his friend was murdered. After investigating the phone booth, Roy begins to rustle through his hair, questioning what had occurred while he was in East City.

Elsewhere, Edward, Alphonse, Winry, (Y/n), and Soma were all enjoying their apple pies, all of them on their way to Rush Valley, completely unaware of the tragedy that had occurred back in Central.

Later in the day, the light had quickly faded and all of our heroes were attempting to get a good night's rest for the rest of their trip, but while the kids were all sleeping soundly, (Y/n) was turning in his sleep. Slowly, (Y/n) opened his eyes and begin to pant heavily.

(Y/n): (Panting) What type hell...? (Calms down and places his hand on his heart) What's happening...? I sense... Pain... Great pain... Did something happen in Central...?

Soma: Dad...?

(Y/n) looks down and sees that he accidentally ended up waking Soma up from his sleep.

(Y/n): Sorry. Did I wake you up?

Soma: Yeah... Is everything all right...?

Yeah... That's what (Y/n) wanted to say. But in truth, he didn't know what to say... He felt great pain in his heart. Like something was taken from the world unjustly, he could feel the pain, even if he was several miles away from Central, he could still feel the pain and suffering even on their way to Rush Valley.

(Y/n): Uhm... I don't know, Soma... I sense great pain back in Central. But there's nothing to worry about. I'll be sure to keep you safe. Now come on let's get back to sleep. We've got a big day tomorrow.

Soma: If you say so...

Soma and (Y/n) both attempt to go back to sleep, but unfortunately, the dark feeling in (Y/n)'s chest would not go away, making his sleep pretty rough.

(Y/n): Roy... Please don't do anything stupid...
