"So, classes start soon. Are you ready?" Raya asked Killian as they walked out of the gym.

"Yeah—ready to get it over with." Killian said, making Raya laugh.

"It'll be over before you know it." Raya told him. "What are you about to do?"

Shit—I wanna do you, Killian said in his head. "I don't have anything planned. Jonah went with Arman and Nova to see her family. You got something to do?"

Raya smiled. "No, I don't."

"Well, I can take you out or I can cook and you can come over to my place." Killian suggested.

"You can cook, Killian?" Raya teased.

"Hell yeah. I'm a chef." Killian replied.

Raya laughed. "I can be the judge of that. What time should I come over? I'll bring some wine."

Killian smiled as his stomach erupted in butterflies. "Seven."

"Okay, see you at seven." Raya said as she headed towards her car.

Killian made sure she made it inside of her car before going to his and calling Karis. "Hello?" She answered on the third ring.

"What should I cook for dinner tonight?" Killian asked. "I invited Raya over."

Karis gasped. "Oh my gosh! This is exciting!"

"C'mon, Karis. Help me out." Killian begged.

"I think you should make Big Mama's favorite meal." Zuri chimed in.

"I don't know if she would like meatloaf, mamas. That's a controversial meal." Killian replied.

Zuri giggled. "Not the meatloaf, silly. I'm talking about the meal you would cook for her when she didn't feel like cooking."

Killian smiled. The meal Zuri was talking about was ribeye steak, mashed potatoes, and asparagus. "I think we can make that work, baby. I just gotta stop by the grocery store."

"Oh, can you get me some cereal?" Karis asked. She is currently nine weeks postpartum and her cravings were still there.

"Get off my line." Killian told her.

"Kill, please." Karis pleaded. "Taylor won't let me have anymore."

"No ma'am. I'll call you to let you know how dinner went." Killian said. "I love you, mamas."

"Yeah, whatever. I love you too." Karis mumbled.

Killian laughed as he hung up the phone and began to make his way to the grocery store. He was very excited about having Raya over for dinner and couldn't wait for her to taste his food.

Taylor and Karis looked at the tint that was applied to Karis' new car while Jasmine and Zuri played a few feet from them. Karis held Cali in her arms as she fell asleep.

"You like the tint, baby?" Taylor asked.

"Yes, I love it." Karis said with a smile.

"Good, I had my—"

"Taylor, mommy!" Zuri said. "This creepy man is looking at us!"

Taylor immediately went into protective mode as he looked around and spotted a man in his car. The mysterious man rolled up his window before quickly pulling off.

"Get in the house right now." Taylor told them and they did as told. Taylor made sure Karis' car was locked before going inside with them.

"That was my uncle—my dad's brother." Karis whispered to Taylor.
