Zuri screamed as tears streamed down her face. Cali and Jasmine began to scream and cry as well, which made Karis give Taylor the dirtiest mug ever. Zuri begged Taylor to pull her loose tooth out, but she did not expect it to hurt that bad.
"Did you pull out a piece of her gum or something?" Karis asked as she grabbed Zuri and looked in her mouth.
"Nah, she's just bleeding a little." Taylor replied while examining the baby tooth.
Karis sighed. "Stop crying, pumpkin. You shouldn't have asked him to pull your tooth out." She scolded as she picked Cali up from the couch. "C'mon so you can gargle with saltwater. You too, Jasmine—let's go clean up your face."
Taylor got up and went to put Zuri's tooth in a safe spot for her to put under her pillow later. "Dada!" Cali yelled from the bathroom which immediately caught Taylor's attention.
Taylor walked into the bathroom and took Cali from Karis. "Y'all still mad at me or do y'all love me again like Cali?" He asked.
"I'm still mad!" Zuri sniffled. "You said you were gonna pull my tooth out on three and you only counted to one! That was untrustworthy of you!"
"Yeah, you shouldn't have done that!" Jasmine chimed in.
"You're right, and I'm sorry. I was just trying to do it quickly. Do y'all forgive me?" Taylor said.
"Yes, but count all the way to three next time." Zuri said as she hugged Taylor. Jasmine joined in on the hug, and Taylor gave both of them kisses on the foreheads.
"I guess I can forgive you too." Karis said once they were done with their hugs. She was about to lean in for a kiss, but Cali pushed her away. "Excuse you, little girl!" Cali smiled as she rested her head on Taylor's shoulder. "Now I gotta fight over my man? This is insane."

Brandon parked his car in the Kings' driveway and got out. He walked around to the passenger side and opened the door for Lennox to help her out.
"I'll see you next week." Brandon said.
"Wait, c—can we talk please?" Lennox asked.
Brandon shook his head. "Not now. I have to get back to work in fifteen minutes."
"Well, can you stop by after you get off?" Lennox continued.
"I'll think about it." Brandon replied. "Go in the house so I can make sure you made it in safely."
Lennox nodded as she made her way up the porch and into the house. She made sure the front door was locked before she took off her coat and boots.
Lennox could hear talking in the living room. She glanced from the foyer area and could see her parents talking to Arman and Nova.
Nobody was talking to her at the moment due to her actions the other week. This made her nervous for when she goes into labor, which could be any day because she is approaching thirty eight weeks. She couldn't blame anyone but herself.
Lennox walked into the kitchen so she could retrieve her carrots from the fridge, but they weren't there. Usually Heather would get them for her when she was running low because those were her cravings, but her parents weren't doing anything for her. The only thing they did was fix enough food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Lennox sighed as she went to her room and laid down. She took out her phone and called Karis. "Hello?" She answered the phone.
"H—hey, a—are you busy?" Lennox asked.
"I'm just braiding down a client." Karis said. "What's up?"
"I just need a little bit of help with prepping for my baby. Mommy and auntie were helping me but I'm getting the silent treatment from everyone except you and somewhat Brandon." Lennox explained.
