Taylor walked inside of Big Mama's house with a dozen of roses and a bag of food from Panera. He peeped his head into the living room and smiled when he saw her sitting in her recliner.

"Hey, Taylor. I'm glad you're here." She said.

"Hey, Big Mama." Taylor said as he gave her a hug. "I bought you some lunch and some flowers to say I'm sorry. I didn't mean to stir up any drama yesterday. I take full responsibility."

"All of it is not your fault, but I thank you for my goodies. You can sit it in the kitchen. I want to talk to you." Big Mama told him.

Taylor did as told and returned into the living room. He sat down on the couch near the recliner after unbuttoning his suit jacket.

"So, I'm not trying to pry but when you left things took a turn between Karis and Killian. They've been friends for over ten years and I never seen them this way." Big Mama said.

"Well, Killian was rude to me once before but he apologized and I let it go. Last month, I was at Karis' house and he came in being rude. We shared a few words and I walked away, but he still said slick things out of his mouth. Both times Karis did nothing about it and it bothered me because I don't tolerate disrespect from anyone. She did not take my feelings into consideration." Taylor explained. "Now, I'll admit—I was being petty yesterday and that did spark the fire. I'll take accountability for that, but I'm not about to deal with someone who won't hold themselves accountable and be respectful to me and of my feelings."

Big Mama nodded. "I understand, honey. That's reasonable. I'm disappointed that it came to this. Would you get back with her?"

"If she's accountable and apologizes. I'll be twenty seven soon. I don't have time for the nonsense." Taylor said.

"Hell, I know that's right." Big Mama said. "But listen, I don't want you to be a stranger to me because I love you. My time is limited on this earth and I want you to remain apart of it."

Taylor smiled and nodded. "Yes ma'am."

"So you're on his side?" Killian asked Heather. He just got back from court and was able to get the restraining order out on Arissa. Heather called him over because the events that happened at Big Mama's house had her pissed.

"I'm on nobody's side, Killian! Everybody's wrong—plain and simple. However, there are other ways to express your feelings for someone and you know that, but you decided to be a fucking ass hole. I don't know if it's the stress of your personal life causing this, but you need to get your shit together!" Heather told him.

Killian leaned back on the couch and ran his hands down his face. "I'm sorry." He sighed.

"You need to apologize to Taylor and Karis." Heather told him. Heather's phone began to ring and she saw that it was Karis. She picked it up and answered the call. "Hello?"

"Hey, mama. I'm running behind schedule. Can you pick up pumpkin for me?" Karis asked.

Heather glanced at Killian who was sitting on the couch looking pitiful. "I'm a little tied up right now. Is it okay if Killian gets her?"

Killian sat up on the couch with excitement now written on his face. It's been a few days since he has seen or heard from Zuri and he's been missing her terribly. "What'd she say?" Killian whispered.

Karis sighed. "Yes, he can get her."

"Alright, honey. I'll talk to you later." With that, they hung up. Heather looked at Killian who was staring a hole into her face. "She said you can get her."

Killian quickly jumped up and ran out of the house. He missed his baby and didn't want to waste any more time going to get her.

Killian arrived to her school within ten minutes and Zuri was happy to see her Uncle K. "I missed you!" She said as the administrator helped her in his truck.
