Amaru held Jonah in his arms as he fixed dinner for himself, Killian, and Jonah. It has been almost three months since Lennox and Gia passed away, and Amaru has been stay with Killian and Jonah for the past month. He and Heather have not been seeing eye to eye since Lennox and Gia's funeral which caused them needing space from each other.
"What's up, dad? What you making?" Killian asked as he walked into the kitchen.
"Spaghetti—something quick because I have to go back to the shop." Amaru replied.
Killian nodded as he poked Jonah's neck. "You got papa so now you ain't paying me attention, huh?" He teased. "You talked to mama?"
"Nah." Amaru said. "You trying to get rid of me already?"
"Hell nah! Between you and Raya—y'all have been helping me out tremendously!" Killian said. "Balancing taking care of him, these deals, and schoolwork ain't no damn joke."
"Shit, I told you that day one. You know we got you though." Amaru told him. "I gotta go by the house to get more clothes after I finish at the shop."
"Don't y'all be 'round there fussin'." Killian warned.
"I'm not gon' fuss." Amaru promised. "I just want peace for the both of us."
Killian nodded. "I do too, dad. We gotta get back on track."

"Hey baby." Salah said as she kissed Jaxon's lips.
"Hey pretty. How's your mama?" Jaxon asked.
Salah just arrived at Jaxon's place after taking care of her mother. Jaxon ended up giving her a key a couple of weeks ago hoping to bribe her into moving in with him instead of renewing her lease.
"She's good. She misses you, but she wants you to take the time you need to yourself." Salah replied.
Jaxon smiled. "I miss her too. I'm gonna go see her soon."
"How are you, baby?" Salah asked. "These last few months I've noticed you only talk to Karis, Taylor, Killian, Micah, and Kennedi. Why aren't you talking to your parents or other family?"
"There's too much going on with them and I wanna keep a chill mind. I'm already hurt behind Chocolate and Gia's death and I want time to cope. They're the only ones who I can bare at this time." Jaxon explained.
Salah nodded. "How do you feel about a grieving counselor?"
Jaxon shrugged. "Do you think I need one?"
"Yes, but it's not up to me to make that decision for you. I just want you to be okay." Salah told him.
"I'll think about it." Jaxon sighed as he placed his hand on Salah's hand. "Thank you for being here by my side.
Salah leaned in and kissed Jaxon's lips. "I'm about to get in the shower then I'll fix some dinner."
"Let me join." Jaxon teased.
"No." Salah teased back. "You don't know how to stop."
"Can you blame me though?" Jaxon asked her.
Salah laughed. "Yes—I'll be out shortly."
Jaxon pouted as he watched Salah walk away. "It's cool—I'll be getting some ass tonight." He mumbled.

Zuri placed the picture of her, Lennox, and Cali down on her nightstand as she sighed. She was very hurt behind Lennox's death. Her Chocolate was gone and she was not okay with it.
