Jaxon placed the finishing touches in the room he had dedicated for Big Mama. It's been four months since her passing and last month, Jaxon asked the family if he could live in Big Mama's house. Everyone did not see the harm, and they thought it was a good way to keep the house into the family.

"This came together well, baby. It's beautiful." Rich said as he entered the room.

"Thank you." Jaxon said, continuing to look around the room.

Jaxon had Big Mama's bed, recliner, nightstand, and favorite lamp placed perfectly in the room along with her clothes in the closet and favorite blanket. He used his art skills and painted a portrait of Big Mama on a wall. Due to school being out and Jaxon not teaching summer school, he had extra time on his hands and completed the painting within a week.

"I can't wait to meet your family this weekend." Rich said once they exited the room. "Are you sure they're going to accept us being together? I know you were very hesitant to tell them."

"I'm positive. My parents and them knew I was bi before I even came out to them. We'll be okay." Jaxon assured him.

"Okay, I'm trusting you." Rich said.

Jaxon smiled. "As you should." Jaxon kissed Rich's cheek and grabbed his hand. "C'mon, let's go get something to eat."

Karis sat in the living room as she ate her fourth bowl of cereal of the day. Lately, that is all she has been eating which Taylor and Zuri do not approve of. However, Taylor makes sure she does get the nutrition she and their baby girl need.

Karis is now knocking on six months of pregnancy. She decided at thirty five weeks she's going to switch to doing hair at home in a spare room she has. She and Taylor have already began setting up the nursery for the baby who they have not named yet.

"Oh my gosh—that was good as hell." Karis said she she drunk the milk from the bowl.

"Mommy, can you call Uncle K for me?" Zuri asked as she walked into the living room. "He's not answering and I know he's done with summer school for the day."

"He might be busy, pumpkin." Karis told her.

"But he told me he was coming to get me today at one and it's almost three." Zuri said as she began to cry. "He broke his promise again."

"Okay, okay. Don't cry." Karis comforted her. "I'm sorry—I forgot he told you that. Let me call him, okay?" Karis grabbed her phone and called Killian, but he did not answer and allowed her call to go to voicemail. Karis sighed as she looked at Zuri. "How about we go to the park to feed the ducks? I'll call Arman and Nova so they can tag along with us."

Zuri sniffled and nodded. "Okay."

"Go ahead and put on your shoes." Zuri did as told while Karis called Arman.

Arman and Nova agreed to meet them at the park. They met up twenty minutes later, and Arman and Zuri began to feed the ducks grapes while Karis and Nova sat on a bench nearby.

"How's tink doing?" Nova asked, referring to the baby. Due to the baby not having a name yet, everyone has been calling her tink—thanks to Heather.

"She's okay. We've been tearing up bowls of cereal since this morning." Karis replied, making Nova laugh.

"Yeah, I heard cereal hits different when you're pregnant." Nova said.

"Shit be bussin." Karis told her. Karis' phone began to ring signaling a FaceTime. She looked at it and saw that it was Killian. She answered he call and he appeared on the screen. "Are you still at work?"
