Diary of a Wimpy Girl

Friday, August 26th

4:00 pm 

Dear Diary, I had the best week at school! Now that I have kissed a popular boy and been to Layla's pool party I am officially part of the popular clan!!!! This is all so much easier than I thought it was going to be.  I wasn't popular in sixth grade but then I join the cheerleading squad and BAM right off the bat I am popular. And being part of the popular squad is like being famous! EVERYONE knows me!! A lot of people know who I am but I don't know who they are just like a celebrity! I get to sit at the cool table at lunch, I have BOYS talk to me in class, I always have a group to walk with in the hallways...... I couldn't ask for a better first 2 weeks of 7th grade! And tonight is the first football game so I am getting ready for it! Henry is actually one of the football players so I am trying my best to look cute! I am going to put my hair in a ponytail (because pig tails are too kiddy) and I put on sparkly eyeshadow, blush and red lipstick!! I looked at myself in the mirror and I look smoking hot!!! And I feel confident about my cheerleading abilities too!! I am ready for this!!! 

8:00 pm 

So I got to the game and it was awesome!! I didn't quite know ALL the steps to the cheerleading routine since I was new but we did really well cheering for the boys!! Or at least I think we did. Mom, dad, Rose and Mara came and they said I did really well but... I don't know. They might have just been saying that because they're my family. But the best part of the night was when Henry pulled me aside UNDER THE BLEACHERS because he said he has to ask me something and I was so excited and nervous but guess what.... HE ASKED ME TO THE SCHOOL MIXER!!! I didn't even know that people asked each other to the middle school mixers!! I thought that only happened in high school like when a boy asked Rose to homecoming last year with a sign in our front yard... but I guess it happens in middle school too!! He didn't ask me in any type of fancy way he just asked me if I wanted to go to the school mixer with him but of course I said yes!! Ahh!! The mixer is in 2 weeks so I have 2 weeks to figure out what I'm gonna say.... what I'm gonna wear.... I am especially excited to pick what I'm gonna wear!!! I am actually gonna go dress shopping with the cheerleading squad!!! Layla says you have to dress really fancy for the mixer so I am going to pick out a fancy dress!! Can't wait!!!
