Diary of a Wimpy Girl

Dear Diary, I have some great news- Raven and I both got cast in the musical!!!! The cast list was put out on Friday and the first rehearsal was today. I got the part of this girl named Marty that sings this weird song "Freddy My Love"..... mostly just the same repetition of "Freddy my love Freddy my love Freddy my lo-ove..." But I am still happy about my role! I have 22 lines and the song Freddy my Love is my only solo but I still get a lot of time on the stage which I am very excited about! And Raven got the part of Patty Simcox... a pretty small part she only has 3 lines but she also gets to be in the chorus! But guess who got Sandy.... Layla..... apparently Layla blew away the judges with her incredible voice.... I didn't even know that was a talent of hers until I heard her sing "Hopelessly Devoted to You" and I will admit it..... she can sing. I would even say she can sing better than Raven and I but clearly I can sing well too since I get to sing Freddy my love! And guess who got Danny... Henry.... so yeah. I have to watch my ex-boyfriend, Henry and my rival Layla play Sandy and Danny but I'm not going to let that bring me down! I am still happy about my role! And so is my family! My family is still unhappy with me for losing Mara but they seemed pretty proud of me when I told them I got cast in the school play! Except Rose seemed a little jealous since she never got cast in her school plays but that is her problem.... not mine! Anyways, at rehearsal today we went through the script and my lines seem easy enough! I also sang the song and the director told me to practice it a little more but the real thing isn't until May so we have plenty of time! We are going to have rehearsal every Wednesday and Friday except for people like Layla and Henry have to go to rehearsal every day of the week which is a lot! So in a way I am kind of glad that I didn't get Sandy... even if when Layla sang "Hopelessly Devoted to You" it wasn't ideal when Henry said "Layla.... that was awesome...." and I think they were about to kiss before I looked the other way.... but I still am really excited about all of this! Oh yeah and Stacy got Rizzo.... Stacy was always an amazing singer but apparently Layla is the. fairest of them all. Anyways, nonetheless I am still happy about my role!!!
