- "YOU'RE GETTING BETTER with your reaction time, but that's something you still need to work on." sam says, holding out a hand for me to take. "remember that."
i huff, pushing myself up from off the ground and falling into another defensive position. "again?"
"nope!" he exclaims, popping the 'p', "you and i have a mission to do! it's time to get back in your costume."
sam throws a water bottle at me, and follows me as i walk out of the training room to one of the elevators.
"mission?" i gasp, taking a large sip from the bottle, "where?"
he smiles, walking into the elevator behind me and pressing the button for the main lobby. "you and i are taking a trip to hosu city. we're meeting with endeavor, he and i have something to discuss."
my gaze drops down to the floor- hosu city, isn't that where iida's internship is?
sam walks off to catch up with a group of sidekicks, and i walk to the private bathrooms. once in my costume, i pick up my phone off the counter and open my messages.

my gaze is fixed on my phone as i open the door with my quirk. it's become a habit. an exercise to make me more tolerant to the side effects. what used to be a faint buzz of pain is barely noticeable, now.
with another flick of my wrist, it shuts behind me.
i drop off the case at the front desk, smiling politely at the woman working, and sink into one of the couches. in front, a large tv displays the late-morning news.
the newscaster giggles, "it's almost noon, here in tokyo! we're expecting more rainy days this week. overcast today with small showers later tonight that carry onto tomorrow morning. despite this, it's getting warmer as we get closer and closer to summer!" her tone drops, "in other news, iconic hero, ingenium, was hospitalized a few days ago after a tragic villain attack with the infamous hero killer known as stain. authorities refuse to release information on the matter, but another responding hero has recently commented on the situation."
