- ECTOPLASM SURROUNDS TSU and tokoyami with clones.
dark shadow grabs her by the waist and flings her up. once on the second floor of the stage, she throws him up with her tongue, and vice versa.
"yeah!" i cheer.
izuku smiles, "an escape only the two of them could pull off!"
the door hisses open as recovery girl steps back in. "that's good communication. they're talking to each other. it may not seem like much, but it's important! i don't just mean having a sidekick or teammate that you know you match well with. real heroes need to know how to communicate with anyone!"
she hops back into her chair.
"um, so..." izuku steps to the side, "we were talking about these finals, and how each student is supposed to be facing their weaknesses."
"that's right."
"okay, so what do tokoyami and asui have to work on? i'm having trouble seeing how mr. ectoplasm's quirk is a bad match-up against theirs." izuku says, his head tilted in interest.
"oh? well, it's not good... for tokoyami, at least."
my eyebrows furrow. "why not? they're doing great so far."
"keep watching, you'll see..." she smiles, and we all return our eyes to the monitor.
tokoyami and asui continue using their quirks to battle the clones as they make their way up to the top of the stage.
"tokoyami is quick and can attack from afar, allowing him to keep his distance. those are all strengths. but, looking at that another way, it means he's weak in close range."
i look down, 'i never realized how similar our quirks are in terms of strength and weaknesses. i hope i get a chance to get better at close-combat during the training camp- but i have to worry about passing this exam, first.'
"- on the other hand, there's asui. a stellar student with no clear weaknesses. she can provide support to her ally, as powerful as he may be. but she's important in another way, too. her level-headed was and ability to provide emotional support are the key to them passing."
tsu and tokoyami reach the goal, and ectoplasm creates one final clone- a gigantic one, that takes up all most the entire stage.
the clone bites the platform that they stand on, a cloud of smoke shielding the cameras. once it clears, tsu and tokoyami are revealed to be trapped.
dark shadow quickly shuffles out, attacking ectoplasm as tsu and tokoyami converse. dark shadow falls back to them, taking something from her, and shooting back out to the teacher.
