- "SYDNEY!" OCHACO EXCLAIMS. she leaned over the counter, only half-dressed in her uniform, still wearing the black t-shirt that she wears to bed. "you're making breakfast? can i have some?"
i hum, nodding softly. "what do you want?"
"i'll just have what you're making right now!"
the first few mornings living at the dorms were spent with everyone bustling around the kitchen, tripping on each other and making messes, but no one could care less given the excitement that still laced everyone's faces at living together.
still, bakugo had accidentally displayed his excellent cooking skills to denki, who exclaimed that he should be the one to make food, since "kacchan's food is edible." ever since then, the kitchen was bakugo's territory, with a few exceptions given to people who wouldn't start a fire.

leaning on the counter, i focused my attention on the tv in the far corner of the common area, which was displaying the news. iida had proclaimed that we, as aspiring heroes, needed to be caught up on what was going on in the world. he had control over the remote.

izuku walked down, yawning softly as he fumbled with the tie of his uniform. "morning!"
a chorus of "morning!" echoed around the common room as everyone responded to him.
his messy curls were somehow even messier as he ran a hand through them, wincing as his fingers rip at the tangles. izuku's gaze falls on me, cheeks tinted pink as he smiles. "hey, syd!"
i smile back, turning away before i get the opportunity to analyze anything else.
the sky was overcast, thin beams of sunlight shining through and casting shadows onto the ground, bathing the campus in warmth. given that everyone lives at UA now, the main school building was open during the day for most students so they could access training rooms and labs.

aizawa grunts, back slumped as if he'd just woken up. "i may have said this already, but your main focus this summer is obtaining provisional hero licenses. do not take this lightly. a hero license means that you're responsible for human lives. you can imagine that the exam to receive one is very difficult. only fifty percent of students pass the test required for these permits each year."
