"hey, guys! check this out!" mina exclaimed, dancing around the back of the classroom while our classmates gathered around and watched.

a smile lifted my lips as i subconsciously shifted to stand close to izuku, who was holding his notebook with one hand and his all might pen in the other.

"i bet ashido's dancing skills will end up being super useful in hand-to-hand combat. when it comes to a fight, she would have complete control of every part of her body!"

my palms curled around the edge of shoto's desk as i leaned against it. my eyes flickered from mina's eager performance to the pages of his notes, and then up to izuku, before blood rushed to my face and i quickly looked away.

"oui. i've witnessed that." aoyama said softly, "she burned through my cape in our first training match, and then in the sports festival finals... i will never forget that."

izuku looked up at her. "maybe i should take up dancing, too!"

"she'll teach ya!" denki grins.

mina nods, striking a pose. "aw, yeah, boy! let's see what moves you've got!"

he straightens up, looking a lot more nervous than he did a few seconds ago. "um, okay, please show me how!"

izuku placed his pen in the middle of his notes to mark his page, and then closed the notebook and smiled softly as he handed it to me to hold. though, his cheeks burned as soon as he realized that his gaze was lingering on me for longer than necessary.

"we'll start with somethin' easy!" mina says. izuku hands his notebook to me as he and aoyama step forward determinedly. "step forward and back, and left and right while swinging both arms- make sure you're stayin' lose!"

"sure!" izuku smiles.

the two boys begin 'dancing,' izuku moving his arms stiffly and robotically while aoyama adds several unnecessary flourishes to each move.

"i think i've got it!"

mina's face scrunches as she crosses her arms and glances back at the rest of us, unimpressed.
