Darth Maul is sent to Tatooine to assassinate Jedi Knight, (Y/N) (L/N). As he tracks her down, he can't help but feel an unwarranted warning from the force.

The Jedi... he could sense them. 3 to be exact; two men and one woman. Darth Sidious had personally instructed Maul to track down the female Jedi and destroy her. So, that's what he did. And he would not fail.
He tracked the trio of Jedi to Tatooine, as their ship had been badly damaged during a space flight. That gave the Zabrak loads of time to complete his task and make his master proud.

However, there was one thing that stuck out to Maul about this whole situation. He had a dream last night with both his Jedi target, (Y/N), and a young boy. The boy couldn't have been older than 11, but there was something in the force warning the Sith about him.

Darth Maul sat for hours before deciding to pursue this mission to begin with, let alone actually enacting on it. Maul knew he needed to move fast if he wanted to catch up before they left.

The Sith shook his head; trying to remove the thoughts. He revved the engine of his land speeder and set off towards where their ship was. He hoped to cut them off before anyone could get back on the ship and fly away. The Zabrak didn't feel like going on a wild goose chase when he was already this close...

"Eh," the Zabrak muttered to himself as he zoomed across the Tatooine wasteland, "That boy..."

There was something terribly wrong with the unnamed boy that was accompanying the Jedi back to their ship. The force was trying to warn Maul, and he sensed this wouldn't just affect the Jedi or the Sith alone— this boy would somehow influence the entire galaxy.

The sands of Tatooine were probably my least favourite part of the galaxy. It was always so hot... so sweaty. It felt as if I was in an oven and I simply couldn't escape. Master Qui-Gon Jinn didn't seem like he was boiling, but he was also way more talented in the force than I am. Although I'm a Jedi Knight, I still have a lot to learn,
"Do you think Obi-Wan will need help?" I asked while swallowing; the dryness of the planet causing my throat to crack, "I know Padmè is with him, but it's still kind of dangerous where we parked the ship."

"He will be fine, don't worry," Qui-Gon replied while walking towards the familiar hut that the two of you, plus Padmé, had gotten used to staying at, "We will be quick anyways. We just need to pick up Anakin then we will be right back to the ship."

I nodded in understanding, struggling to keep up. I was silently praying to the force that Shmi had a cold glass of lemonade ready for Qui-Gon and I, but that was unrealistic. Shmi and Anakin were used to the heat, so they didn't likely think about things like that.

We quickly hurried through the alleyways of Tatooine when we finally reached the Skywalker residence. Seeing this side of the planet really made me realize how comfortable I had it. The Jedi Temple has consistently been good to the other Jedi and myself, but I couldn't help but wonder why the Senate or the Jedi couldn't do more for people like this,
"(Y/N)! Qui-Gon!" Anakin yelled excitedly as we entered his sand hut, "It's so nice to see you two again!"
