The tension was unbearable. I wanted to gouge my eyes out, step on them, then fall asleep on my uncomfortable, dirty prison cot for the rest of time. We had been bested, which was unheard of, until now.

"I can't believe that womp rat, Kenobi tricked us!" the Duros, who went by the name, Cad Bane, commented for what seemed like the 20th time in the last hour. I'd never seen him so angry in all the time I'd known him. But he had a point: no one took advantage of the two of us without consequences. The second Cad and I are released from prison, Kenobi will be wishing the real Rako Hardeen hasn't failed his assassination attempt.
Cad looked like he could've punched straight through the ray shield which was keeping us locked in this cell, "When I get my hands on him!"

I sighed and pulled myself up and off the stiffened cot which was meant to be a bed for the rest of our sorry lives. I couldn't believe the pain I was in after that unsuccessful mission. Pain streaked up my legs, but Cad needed my support, even if he wasn't asking for it,

"It's okay, my love," I whispered while placing a comforting hand on the Duros' shoulder.
Much to my surprise, Cad Bane immediately shrugged away from my touch, which caused my eyebrows to furrow in confusion and anger, "You must be pissed if you're not wanting me to touch you."

Cad didn't bother looking behind at me, "It's not that, doll. I'm just beyond the point of comfort. Kenobi will die by my hand. I can't be distracted right now. I need to plan."

If anyone was gonna get us out of this maximum security prison, Cad Bane was the one to do it. He got us out before with 'Rako Hardeen,' as well as some others. He was the craftiest Bounty Hunter the galaxy had ever seen.

I breathed slowly through my nose, trying to calm my anger down. Sure, I wanted nothing more than to tie Kenobi to a wall and use him as target practice, but in times like this, focus is key. Anger makes people reckless. Cad isn't exempt from that.

Carefully, I placed my hand onto the Bounty Hunter's muscular shoulder once more. The Duros didn't shove me off this time, which I silently appreciated. I need his touch just as much as he needs mine. We complete each other,

"Darling, we will have our revenge," I whispered, an edge to my voice. Clone Troopers belonging to the Coruscant Guard trekked back and forth in front of our cell. Obviously they're trying to eavesdrop and find more incriminating information. Or maybe even find a reason to warn Obi-Wan Kenobi, "But we need to focus on one problem at a time. This cell is our first priority."

The Duros breathed heavily through his nose and nodded; his usual charisma coming back. Cad had been in enough prisons in his time to know the ins and outs. If anyone could get us out, it was him. He just needed to focus, and that was something I could hopefully encourage him to do.
His courage is truly contagious, and just seeing his cocky smirk float back to his face helps spread a warm feeling through your body.
