Aurora, the last of a family of Valyrian dragonlords, lives with her Westerosi lord father after her mother's death. She hides a secret; an adult woman's consciousness from our world resides within her. Au...
Aegon threw down his goblet making the metal meet the floor with a noisy 'clang' as the remainder of red wine seeped into the crack between the rocks on the floor making Otto Hightower shut up in shock at his grandson's action.
"So let them!" he roared, his short white hair falling greasy over his forehead as he stood "I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF ALL THIS CONFLICT!" Aegon had liked the attention he had gotten in the beginning as king, but the duty was too much for him and after his brother and sister wife left with their kids he found it was harder than ever. His hopes had died long before this day "SO WHAT IF MY SISTER COMES HERE! LET HER TAKE THE THRONE, I DO NOT WANT IT!"
Otto shared a look with his tired daughter who had taken to covering her son's ears from his brother's screaming.

Aurora, Rhaenyra and Jacaerys stared at Daemon who had entered quite unceremoniously.
"That is some good news for us" the prince walked forward, his riding armour still on him making noise as he did so.
Daemon plucked an apple from a fruit bowl on the table in front of the fireplace.
"Don't you think so?" He said after he smirked at them.

Aurora was now making sure that Thanatos was awake and ready to welcome the upcoming northerners. Rhaena and Lucerys were helping her as she showed them how to polish the pitch black scales of her dragon.
"Why do you do this again Rori?" Rhaena asked her.
"I actually only started it doing it after we tried this once and Thanatos enjoyed it thoroughly. I also think it's a way to strengthen the bond between dragon and rider" she explained, wiping the wet towel over the black scales on Thanatos' forehead to clean him of any possible dust he might have there.
The huge dragon had laid his head down flat on the floor and seemed to be enjoying the treatment he was getting, his eyes closed and low groans coming out of his throat while they rubbed his head with cold watered rags.
"I should start doing this with Arrax" Lucerys said.
"If you want to" Aurora shrugged her shoulders "I honestly do believe it has made me closer to Thanatos, so if you can you maybe should try it"
"You're lucky you both have dragons" Rhaena pouted honestly.
"Rhaena, didn't Syrax have a batch of eggs not too long ago?" Aurora asked Rhaena against her better judgement.
As the war was now less possible than before, Aurora didn't believe the girl should have to wait much longer for her dragon. Since Joffrey and Rhaena had not yet been sent to the Vale by Rhaenyra as there wasn't much danger in DragonStone anymore.
"She did, why?" Rhaena asked her in confusion.
"Why don't you go and ask her if you could try and hatch one of the eggs? I'm sure she won't mind" Aurora dunked the towel she was holding into the bucks of cold water they had each at their feet.
"That's a great idea!" Lucerys turned to his fiancée with an excited look in her eyes as he tried to keep the rag he himself held from splashing them all "I'm sure this time you'll get your dragon!"
Aurora smiled a bit at the pair as the smiled at each other excitedly.
"I'll let you two finish up alright?" she told them "Kostilus sagon nice naejot zirȳ thanatos. Syt issa" (Please be nice to them thanatos. For me).
The dragon huffed out a groan as he opened one eye lazily to her and then closed it once more when Lucerys reached up to wipe the cold rag in his own hand over his forehead.
Aurora laughed as the old dragon rolled over so that he was showing off the underside of his chin. Rhaena and Lucerys got to work as they assured Aurora they would be fine.

"What can we do?" Otto hissed at his daughter walking back and forth in the council room "King Aegon has lost all reason. He wishes to relinquish the crown and the Iron Throne to Rhaenyra"
"Maybe he has not lost his reason" Jason Lannister stood from his place "At this time, I believe that he might be the only reasonable person in this place"
Otto Hightower looked more than shocked that lord Lannister was agreeing with Aegon's side of things, even more so when at least half of the council nodded their heads.
"Once the seven kingdoms caught word that The Cannibal and his rider had sided with princess Rhaenyra everything fell into place for the Blacks and we lost the Baratheon's support after that" Alicent agreed from her place by the window, her arms crossed tightly over her stomach.
"And then not only did Dorne take back their control but the prince Aemond and his dragon Vhagar, our largest advantage in the possible upcoming war, left to stay at Rooks Rest, where the Belgraves rule over the territory, thus making them side with the Blacks" Jason Lannister continued "We have now less support and less dragons than before, not to mention the talks of more dragon eggs in DragonStone"
"ENOUGH!" Otto pinched the crease between his eyebrows "As the king appears to be of an unstable mind at the moment, I as the Hand of the king, will be taking responsibility. Ser Criston" the knight came forward hesitantly " Call all the men we have in Kings Landing and tell them to prepare for war"
"Lord Hand there aren't near enough men here to..." the dark haired man tried to reason.
"DO NOT QUESTION ME!" a bit of spittle came out from the bearded man's mouth as he shouted. Otto took in a deep breath and motioned for the knight to leave "The council meeting has ended for today. Go back to your lands and get all your men together"
The members of the council watched as Otto Hightower stormed out of the room. The man had finally lost his mind. The pressure of everything he had done to reach this point must've gotten to the usually calm man's head and it was working against his favour.
"Queen Regent?" Lord Jasper Wylde asked the red haired woman who had now taken to biting on her nails "Do you have anything to say about the matter?"
"Prince Daeron will be needing me now. I will leave this to you lords" she said stoically.
The men looked at each other, now fearing that the three people that were supposed to lead them forward were falling apart like pieces of a puzzle.

Back in DragonStone, Aurora couldn't help but feel herself that everything was going her way. Before dinner she had changed into a new dress that she had packed and managed to bring back from her home. It was a neutral blue with silver decorations all around. The neck of the dress was held up by a silver collar and the sleeves fell down loosely and were puffy.

"Aurora, would you like to accompany me to see Visenya before dinner?" Rhaenyra asked her as they both met in the halls of the palace.
"I would love to my queen"
Both women walked side by side, a bit of the heavy weights that had been placed on each other's shoulders lifting as time went on and things seemed to fit into their place.
