"There is one last order of business to be done" queen Rhaenyra said "Where is Alicent Hightower?"

"The lady Hightower has been locking herself in her quarters and only allowing a few maesters and maids inside" Ser Westerling said "A few days after the army left from Kings Landing, the king was discovered to be alive"

"Oh that's right! I completely forgot about Viserys" Aurora thought.

"We had been informed of that already Ser Westerling" Rhaenyra said "Aurora, could you come with me?"

"Of course my queen" Aurora bowed her head.

"You are all dismissed" the queen announced.

Hesitantly, the people left the premises to either go into their assigned rooms, or exit to the yard where the preparations for a dinner were being made.

Rhaenys also followed Rhaenyra out down the halls and to the quarters where Alicent had been staying the whole time she had been in the palace.

When they entered the room they were more than caught by surprise to see the old king sitting up straight on his bed and the red haired woman they were looking for kneeling on the ground with her head on the floor.

Before Rhaenyra and the other two women entered the room, Alicent had been dreading their coming. She had seen the executions from the window of her bedroom covering her mouth to hide the gasp she would have let out when she saw Daemon execute Criston Cole, and the others.

"Alicent" she jerked around with wide eyes when she saw her husband and late king Viserys propping himself up from his laid down position on the bed "What happened to me?"

After that, Alicent had told the man everything while he tried to regain his senses.

Now, as she kneeled down to save herself and ask for forgiveness in front of the head of her still alive husband's bed, the woman who she had been going against behind her father this whole time entering followed by princess Rhaenys and lady Belgrave.

Aurora ignored Alicent even when the woman stood from her place on the floor, and went straight up to the king who was leaning against the frame of his bed.

"Aurora" the man sighed tiredly.

"You'll be fine Viserys. You just woke up after months of being asleep so, although it sounds contradictory, you need to rest up"

"You always knows what's best" the man relented "My daughter"

Once Rhaenys had taken Alicent away, the queen walked up to her father making Aurora give her way.

"How is everything?"

Cregan had been spending time with Aurora's side of the family from Rooks Rest. He had been getting bad looks from the large man known as Brandon Belgrave while he spoke with the princess Helaena, which also got him several glares from Ser Barran.

There had been a long table set up in the middle of the yard right next to the garden where the maids were placing and organizing plates and utensils for the dinner tonight.
