'What are you writing?" a voice startled her as she looked up to see the prince Aemond standing nonchalantly before her with his arms behind his back.

She was a good fighter and very well trained but this man was on another level. He had started his training later on in his years than her yet he managed to creep up without alarming her.

"A letter to Rhaenys" she said.

Aurora stood and pursed her lips instead of p;lacing the letter in the servants waiting hand. A brown falcon dropped from the sky, an animal considered as a symbol of the Belgrave family. He had been gifted to her on her ten and seventh name day, a fully trained falcon, by her father.

She tucked the letter as carefully as she could into the little pouch it had on it's leg as the bird stood stone still on the bench. Aurora then let it climb onto her hand, ignoring the way it's claws dug into her unprotected flesh, and threw the animal into the air where it took flight.

"Your hand is hurt" the prince said looking down at her scratched up palm.

"You don't say" Aurora had gotten tired of being respectful towards the two princes after the second day of her being in King's Landing and her tone had turned more rude and familiar when he spoke to them now.

"I do say" Aemond but back with his usual smirk adorning his face "Come. Follow me"

Aemond kept walking as Aurora followed him behind. He could hear her muttering profanities under her breath as she did so. She did not want to be bossed around but he was the prince and his word was higher than hers, for now.

Aurora was now actually hoping Thanatos would make a surprise appearance just so she could see the faces the princes would make then.

At the thought of that she nearly let a smile slip onto her lips.

Aemond led her to an empty room with a desk and a few sofas. It looked like a study. He gestured for her to sit down on one of the empty spaces and opened one of the drawers on the desk. Aurora watched him carefully as he pulled out a bottle of clear liquid and a something which could be considered a small gauze.

"Give me your hand" reluctantly she obeyed and he let her lay it flat on the table wood.

"You do realise it's just a few scratches, right?" she said quirking her brow at him.

"Yes...?" his eye was focused as he wet the gauze with a bit of the clear liquid.

"And I am just as qualified as a maester is to treat wounds?" he simply hummed at her.

Then Aemond slowly pressed it against her hand right on top of the scratches. He wiped it softly, turning it over to make sure he applied it correctly.

As he did so Aurora couldn't help but notice how gentle he was being. Then something hit her. Aemond was three years younger than her at least. She knew the age difference wasn't that large but her head couldn't stop remembering he was into. Older. Women.
Not necessarily her but he was attracted to women well above his age. Even as a young man.

"There" she came back to her senses when he snapped the drawer shut after putting the things he had taken out back inside.

"Thank you" she muttered.

Aurora's face nearly burst into red like a stoplight when he kissed the back of her hand softly making her feel his smirk against the skin.

"It was my pleasure my lady" he looked up at her with his uncovered eye as if hoping to see her reaction.

Aurora luckily composed herself quickly. She had only reacted in such a flustered way because when she had been young in her previous life she had dedicated her time and efforts to studying and she had never received this kind of attention.

Ж

Aemond smiled when he kissed the back of Aurora's hand and he looked up at her hoping to see her red and flustered, maybe even fanning her face like most women did when he saw older men do those kinds of things to women (mind you he is still 16/17 here and the only experience he has had with a woman was on his 13th birthday).

She surprised him simply by giving him a sweet smile and exiting the room by opening the door herself.

Aemond felt his face grow a bit warm and made his way quickly out to the balcony blaming it on the weather.

Aurora thought of the letter Rhaenys had sent and decided to slowly double the treatments on the king.

The wounds on his back and torso were cleaning up fast but the wound on his face refused to close. It had luckily stopped growing but the only way to close something like that was to cauterise it, in other words, burn the flesh until it closed. She did not want to risk it.

She would have to thank her knowledge of modern medicine that it was stopped. The king would have to get used to wearing a mask but it was the best outcome. She sighed and walked away.

She reached out through her mind trying something she had managed to do few times. Her eyes were closed to get a better effect. And sure enough she felt something.

Back in the Belgrave territory, Thanatos was sleeping in his cave when he felt his partner's presence faintly. He let out a happy huff as she tried to convey how she missed him through it and he pushed his own feelings back at her before closing his eyes once more and falling back into slumber

Brandon received the news of his daughter from Rhaenys and expressed his gratitude to the older woman as he thought of reuniting with his dear daughter.

With happy steps due to her accomplishment Aurora went down to the kitchens. She had gotten the custom of going down to them and eating her food there as soon as it came out. Very few times had she actually dines with the royal family and she had luckily had this boundary respected, though Aegon would come down sometimes for a cup of wine and to harass some workers.

This time she spotted him following the nanny of his children close behind and Aurora remembered what happened to the poor girl. With quick steps she reached her.

"Excuse me your highness" she surprised both by taking the girl's arm and pulling her along with her.

After they had managed to get out of the prince's eyesight the girl thanked her and went away.

Happy that she had stopped the girl from having done to her what Aegon would have done, Aurora walked, with a little jump in her step, back to her room.

After submerging herself in a hot bath for a few hours and having her hair and body washed carefully (something she had had to get used to) Bayla helped her out of her daily blue dress, which she was now known for, and into her nightgown.

The maids bid her goodnight and she stared up at the ceiling of her room before closing her eyes.
