To Love the Dawn

"Ang ganda!" Turo ko sa pasikat palang na araw. "Puwede mong sabihing ang ganda nga tapos nakatingin ka sa 'kin."

"You know, when our names are combined, it can create the phrase 'To Love the Dawn.' David means to love or the beloved and Eos means Dawn." I looked at him and saw how serious he was. But his eyes... They shined. "My role is to love the dawn."

He caressed my jaw with his thumbs and made me look up at him. He kissed my lips softly and whispered, "I love the dawn."

"You love... me?"

"Who else would my dawn be? You're the dawn I wanna watch. You're the dawn that I'll be waiting for."

"Everything's happening so fast. Ang hirap maniwala... Ang hirap i-absorb." Tumawa si David at pinatakan ng halik ang mga labi ko. Addicted na 'ata siya sa lips ko.

"No, it didn't. We took a long path before we got here. God, why was I blind? You're literally in front of me almost all of the time."

"Anong callsign natin?" nagpipigil-ngiting tanong ko. "Dapat may tawagan tayo. Love, baby, babe, honeybunch, sugarplum, yam, adi, ali-"

"What do you prefer ba?"

"I'll just call you Mavi. Dapat ako lang ang tatawag sa 'yo niyan." He smiled, showing his dimples. "Pogi mo talaga."

"I know right," pagyayabang niya. "I'll call you Dawn. You're my dawn."

Hindi rin nagtagal ay pumasok kaming dalawa sa tent. Napahiga si David habang ako ay nasa ibabaw niya, nakaupo. I felt his manhood but I didn't want to tell him that. I held my hair with one hand and delved in to kiss David. I unconsciously grind on top of him when he caressed my sides. We don't need to wait for the right time because we are already at the right time.

I distanced myself for a while to catch my breath. I saw David's pained reaction when I rubbed myself on him. I stopped and chuckled. He looked so annoyed. He put his hand behind my head and in a second, he was already on top. He took off his shirt and parted my legs more. Gagawin na ba namin?! I got scared for a moment. I wasn't prepared!

"I... I'm not ready for this..." I said honestly.

"Don't worry, we'll just make out. Wala munag make love," nakangiting tugon ni David. Napangiti rin tuloy ako.

Hinayaan kong matulog si David. Lumabas ako ng kuwarto niya at luminga-linga sa paligid. Wala namang tao. Tama nga si David, madalas ay walang tao sa kanila. Iyong mga helper lang ang nasa bahay nila. Bumaba ako sa unang palapag at dumiretso sa kusina.

Napahawak ako sa dibdib sa gulat nang makita ang isang ginang sa tapat ng refrigerator. Napalingon siya sa akin at kaagad na bumagsak ang kaniyang panga. Nahiya ako nang bumaba ang tingin niya sa suot kong shirt. Baka alam niyang kay David 'yon. Masyado kasing malamig sa kuwarto ni David kaya pinahiram niya ako ng makapal at malaking shirt.

"Solana, right?" Napatango ako sa ginang. "I'm David's mother. David has been telling stories about you. I'm sorry if nagulat kita."

"Magandang gabi po. Pasensya na po kung-"

"Oh no, hija. You don't have to say that. Come here, let's have some midnight snack." Naglabas siya ng fresh milk at cake mula sa ref. Iminuwestra ng mommy ni David and high chair sa tabi niya. Nahihiya akong umupo ro'n. "I wanna know paano kayo nagkakilala ni David. My son has told me your story but I want to hear it from you naman."
