I lay in bed, listening to the snoring of my roommates.  As much as I try, I can't fall asleep.  Thoughts of Celeste keep me awake as I go over every interaction, looking for something I did wrong.  Deep down I know that there wasn't a specific moment that changed her mind about me.  It just wasn't the right fit.  She didn't feel the same way I did.  As much as I understand and appreciate her being honest, it still hurts.

I fell hard and fast, full of hope that she felt it too.  The way my heart raced every time we touched.  How I anticipated every moment spent together.  I was foolish.  I should have been more reserved.  Instead I got myself hurt.

Fed up with these thoughts, I decide to visit Rita.  Seeing her happy face always made me feel a bit better.  I grab a little blue bandana from my accessory drawer and head to the kitchen.  Picturing her with the bandana wrapped around her head makes me smile.  It would be so cute to see.

Rita is hard at work tonight when I enter.  She's kneading some sort of dough, most likely for a breakfast treat.

"Hello, Rita."  I greet her as I approach.  "What are you making?"

"Hello miss!"  She chirps happily, looking up at me.  "I'm baking some cinnamon bread for breakfast tomorrow.  It's one of Professor Snape's favorites."

"Wow."  I'm a bit shocked he's capable of enjoying anything.  He always seems to be angry.  "I brought you another gift."  I pull out the bandana and show it to her.

"Oh, it's lovely!  What is it for?"  She pauses in her kneading.

"It's for you to wear.  Here let me show you."  I carefully fold it into a triangle and tie it on her head.  I was right.  She looks adorable.  "You're so cute!"

"Thank you."  She blushes, turning to look at herself in the reflection of a nearby soup pot.  "It does look rather nice."

Suddenly we hear a door slam down the hall and Rita's eyes go wide.

"Miss!  Someone's coming, you must hide.  Use the pantry!"  She gives me a gentle push in the right direction, and I hurry over.  I softly close the door behind be and press my ear against it.

"You!"  I hear an unpleasant voice exclaim.  That voice could only belong to the horrid Professor Umbridge.  "Make me some tea at once.  It's been a rather harrowing night."

I hear the noises of clinking glass and closing cupboards as Rita jump on it.

"Who are we eavesdropping on?"  One of the Weasley twins asks from behind me.  I whirl around to see which one.  Fred is standing behind a barrel of pumpkin juice.

"Umbridge interrupted my visit with Rita."  I whisper to him.  "How did you get in here?"  He definitely was not in here when I entered.

"Passageway behind the shelf.  Leads to a hall by the Gryffindor common room."  He points to the shadowy back corner.  I don't see anything, but I figure that's due to magic.  "I guess a snack isn't happening tonight after all."

"Probably not."  We both frown.  I could have really used a sweet pick me up.  "Are you gonna head back now?"

"Nah.  George is snoring really loud and I can't sleep.  Besides, I'd rather hide in a pantry with you."  He leans against the wall.  " I doubt you can leave till Umbridge does.  We can wait her out together."

"Sure."  I follow his lead and lean on the wall beside him.

"So how'd the big ask with Celeste go?"  His question send a sharp pain through my chest.
