"Fredrick Gideon Weasley, where have you been?" I hiss, standing a facing him. His smile drops.
"In a meeting?"
"You and I both know that's a lie." I growl, fists clenching.
"Hazel, just trust me." He asks, holding his hands out.
"No!" I snap at him, temper flaring. "You lied to me."
"Well, yeah, but."
"But nothing. Either you tell me right now, or Teddy and I will be gone within the hour." I keep my tone even as to not scare the little one. He doesn't need to see us fighting. He's seen enough fighting.
"Hazel, you don't mean it." He looks up, shaking his head.
"You can't just disappear all night without a warning, lying to George about where you'd be!"
"Who said I even lied?"
"George did! You told him you were with me! And you didn't even bother to give me an excuse this time. At least last time you had the "decency" to send Draco in your stead." I fight to keep control of my voice. His eyes grew wide.
"I forgot about the moon."
"How could you forget?" I laugh humorlessly. "I've been brewing like a madwoman for it, planning and scheduling our lives around it. I had a fever for the last four days!"
"I'm sorry! I just forgot!" He raises his voice and I motion for him to bring it down a bit.
"Okay, so you forgot. What were you doing instead?"
Teddy tosses his cup on the floor, annoyed that he isn't the center of attention. I pick it up and place it back on his high chair tray.
"I wasn't doing anything!" Fred huffs, crossing his arms. "Just drop it already."
"Fine." I nod, accepting his answer. "I will."
"Thank you. Now can we eat?" He sighs, plopping in a chair.
"Sure. You and Teddy finish up." I kiss Teddy on top of his head. "I'll be back in a few."
I enter our bedroom, gazing around at everything. This is going to be hard. But I meant what I said. So I pull out my wand, and with a quick flick, start packing my and Teddy's things. It only took a few minutes with my wand, before everything is neatly stowed in Teddy's duffle.
I have been wanting a house anyway.
I suppose there's no better opportunity to find one.
I sling the bag over my shoulder, grateful that I was able to cast a working extension charm onto it. I don't meet Fred's eyes as I remove Teddy from his high chair. I wave my wand over the newly vacant chair shrinking it down small enough to place in the duffle. I summon all of his brightly colored toddler dishes into the bag, and zip it closed.
"You're joking." Fred states, watching me do this.
"No." I reply firmly. "When you are ready to talk like adults in an adult relationship, let me know. I've been through too much to deal with this immature nonsense."
"Merlin, Hazel." He mutters, shoving a hand through his hair. "Don't do this."
"You made the choice of not telling me, and I'm making the choice of not staying here." I am barely keeping the tears in at this point. "Goodbye Fred."
"Hazel." He pleads, stepping forward. But I'm already grabbing the floo powder at the mantle. I toss it in, quietly stating our destination so he won't follow. As soon as I step into the room on the other side, I burst into tears.
