The war with Voldemort is continuing to escalate. Now as a full adult, it's time to take my place in the battle. After a meet up with Remus Lupin, the DADA teacher from back in fifth year, I start brewing potions for the "Order of the Phoenix." A bit of a dramatic name if you ask me, but no one does.
I brew a lot of healing potions, invisibility potions, and a surprisingly large stash of polyjuice. After some thought, I also start including some Wolfsbane. News of Grayback's crusade of biting people finds me, and I know that these will be needed in the coming months.
Remus gives me an address for me to drop off the supplies, and tells me to come by whenever I have enough to merit a delivery.
So the second week of July I find myself on the doorstep of 12 Grimmuald Place. I knock on the door and I hear urgent whispering from inside. I take a step back, carefully holding my crate. The door cracks open the slightest bit and Alastair Moody peeks out with his magical eye. His wand points at me threateningly. I would raise my hands if I could, but my hands are full.
"Who are you?" He sneers, waving his wand a bit.
"Hazel Taylor. Professor Lupin gave me the address. He was DADA teacher in my fifth year. He asked me to brew some potions for you guys. I've got an assortment of healing ones. A few invisibility ones. A bunch of Polyjuice potions. Why do you need so many of these? And I also added some wolfsbane into the mix. Just in case. Because of Grayback. I'm sure you know." I ramble on and on, nervously blurting everything that comes to mind.
"Ah, yes!" His face changes from a sneer to a mere frown, and moves aside for me to enter. "Come on in Hazel. It's nice to meet you."
"Thanks!" I let out a sigh of relief and slip into the entryway.
"Who's at the door?" A woman's voice calls from the other room.
"Taylor with the potions." He grumbles back, shuffling down the hallway. I follow him, careful not to knock anything over with my cumbersome crate.
"Taylor? I don't recognize that name." An older red haired woman pokes her head out of the kitchen and my heart stops. She might not know who I am, but I certainly know who she is. Mrs. Weasley. I very much so wish to be anywhere but here. "Come on in dear, no need to be shy."
I awkwardly do as I'm told and place the potion box on the dining room table.
"All the potions are labeled. If that's all you need, I'm going to head out." I'm already starting to back out of the room, but Mrs. Weasley is shaking her head.
"No, dear! Come sit. Have a cup of tea before you go on your way." She motions for me to sit, and I sink down into the seat. My hands are starting to sweat and I feel a bit nauseous. Mrs. Weasley must notice. "Are you alright? You seem to have lost a bit of color."
"I'm fine, thank you." I manage to squeak. I wipe my palms on my skirt and try and keep my knees from bouncing.
"What's your name sweetheart? I'm not sure I've heard the name Taylor before. Maybe a last name will help me place you." She start pouring steaming water into a mug, and the seconds tick by. She glances over her shoulder at me and I realize I've been quiet a suspicious amount of time.
"Hazel Taylor." I say quietly, face heating up.
"I'm sorry, I didn't quite hear that." She adds some sugar to the tea and sets it down before me.
"Hazel Taylor, ma'am." I keep my eyes on the table, not daring to look at the woman.
"Oh." Is her only response.
