I find myself staring at a cottage in a shady grove of trees. The person tugs me up the stone path, and I follow. We enter through the front door, and I go and sit on the couch, waiting. After a few minutes, a bottle is shoved into my hands and I obediently drink it. I think it tastes funny, but I'm not sure. My tongue feels foreign.
"I would have thought you would have been taught to resist." Someone says, their voice almost as far away as I am. "Lucky for me, huh?"
"Yes." I agree automatically. And then a warm feeling washes over me, and the cold in my spine drains away. I blink a few times, the world coming back to me. I'm in a cozy cottage in the woods. I've never seen this place. What am I doing here? Was I just kidnapped? Did someone cast the imperious curse on me?
"How are you feeling?"
I whip my head around to face whoever spoke, ready to attack, but immediately soften. It's him. I smile sweetly.
"Better now that you're here." I proclaim, hurrying over and throwing myself into his arms. He holds me close and I sigh happily. "I love you so much."
"I'm so happy to hear it." Amycus chuckles, kissing the top of my head.
"How could I not?" I gush, kissing his cheek. My heart feels so full and happy.
"Did you miss me?" He asks, removing his cloak and hanging it by the door.
"Yes! Please don't leave me!" I grip his shirt tightly, desperate for him to never part again.
"I won't." He promises. "You're mine."
"Yes I am." I agree with a beaming smile. "I'm so glad we're together again."
"Me too. Now, we just need out boy, and we'll be the perfect family." He tells me.
"You're going to bring Teddy here?" I gush excitedly. "He'll love it here!"
"I'm sure he will, my love." He kisses my forehead and I melt into his touch. "I just need you to help me with something really quick, and then we can go get him, okay?"
"Okay. Anything for you. I love you so much." I stare up at him adoringly.
"I love you too." He presses a kiss to my lips, and I fall into it happily. All too soon he pulls away, leaving me whining in protest. "Come with me."
I take his hand and he leads me through the house to the basement. He opens a door, revealing a potions set up. I gasp excitedly, hurrying in to look at everything.
"I need you to make me a special potion." He says, wrapping his arms around me from behind.
"Yes? What kind?" I ask, fingers dancing over the various vials on the shelf.
"I need an altered version of the amortentia potion."
"Altered how?" I murmur, growing jealous at the thought of someone else caring for him like I do.
"Less potent, more... permanent." He tells me, breath warm on my ear. I hum softly, leaning against him. "I want enduring love. Not heated obsession."
"Okay. I'll do my best for you." I agree, already analyzing the ingredients. I hadn't tried to alter this potion before. In the past I generally avoided this brew at all costs.
"Thank you." He rewards me with a kiss that has me humming happily as I skip over to get to work. He leans against the doorframe, watching me work as I brew the potion. Soon the heavenly scent of the potion fills the room. I am a bit confused to smell something different than the man standing behind me. Shouldn't I be smelling him? The musky tang of cedar mixed with the tangy scent of hair product?
But instead I smell something else. I don't know what it is, but it smells like... home. It sends a brief pang of longing through my heart. But then Amycus comes and wraps his arms around my waist, and I forget all about it.

That evening I go to pick up Teddy. Andormeda seems strangely weary of me, but hands him over regardless. I wonder why she's acting weird. Maybe she just wants more time with her grandson. I sling the diaper bag over my shoulder, propping the boy on my hip as I take the floo back to the cottage. I step into Amycus's living room, and he quickly shuts down the floo connection.
"I don't want any unwelcome visitors interrupting our family time." He claims, taking the bag off of my shoulder. Teddy whines when Amycus says hello to him.
"I'm sorry. Just give him some time to warm up. I'm sure he'll come around." I tell the disappointed man.
"I'm sure." He scoffs, turning and heading into the kitchen. After feeding Teddy a snack, I'm shown the nursery. It's a beautiful room, decorated in forest greens and rich browns. Teddy seems to like it as well, crawling to the bookshelf and pulling the brightly colored books onto the floor.
"It's lovely." I beam at Amycus.
"I'm glad you like it." He murmur in my head, running his hands up and down my sides.
"I like everything you do." I promise, giggling as he tickles me slightly.
"As you should." He growls, biting the bottom of my ear.
That night after Teddy is tucked into bed, Amycus shows me the bedroom. He pulls me inside, closing the door before waving his wand to turn on the light. The golden light reveals a large plush bed with dark stained posts. He kisses me, leading me over to it, pushing me back until I fall into it's feathery softness.
"You're mine. For as long as you live, you're mine." He hisses in my ear. For some reason his words send an unpleasant shiver down my spine. But then I internally scold myself. He is just being romantic.
I wrap my legs around his hips, pulling him against me, dismissing the small screaming voice in the back of my mind.

A week goes by. Amycus is so sweet. He makes me coffee every single morning. It has a bit of a tang that I can't identify, but it's pretty good. It's very sweet of him. Teddy remains a bit weary, but let's Amycus hold him now. I am pleased with the progress.
I wrap an apron around my waist and start on the list that Amycus gave me. I have to work quickly if I want to get the chores done by lunch. This cottage is pretty, but it's fairly dusty, as if it was vacant for a long time. Teddy plays in the living room as I work around him.
"Mama!" He yells, grabbing my attention. He's standing at the couch, having pulled himself up.
"Oh, look at you." I coo, kissing the top of his blonde head. He blows a happy raspberry at me, bouncing and bobbing his head.
After I finish my tasks, I work on lunch. I'm not very good at cooking the muggle way, but I can't seem to find my wand anywhere. So I do my best, cooking some chicken and potatoes, hoping that Amycus will like it. He gets very angry if he doesn't like what I cook. But he won't tell me what he likes, claiming that if I truly love him, I would know. He's right. He loves me so much, and I must prove my dedication to him.
Thankfully he seems pleased with the meal, and I write it down as to not forget. When the meal is over, I tuck Teddy in for a nap, and Amycus leads me to the bedroom for some alone time.

I don't like writing things with Carrow. He's the literal worst.
