Things with the Wizengamot snowball.  Instead of an annoying child that wants to tear down everything they've built, I'm seen as a resource to use to their advantage.  The public has caught wind of my work, and support for my methods is growing.  Instead of fighting the wave, the council opted to ride it, taking credit where they could, ensuring their jobs for the next several years.

As much as I hate the reasonings, I let it happen, needing their approval at the end of the day.

Fred and I begin muggle relationship counseling.  We have some deep communication issues.  A lot of it deeply rooted in the trauma from war.  Secrets were the currency then, and it is hard to let that mentality go.

Fall fades and winter fast approaches, and with it, the first snowfall.

Teddy is absolutely thrilled.  He was too young to remember the snowy Romanian winter from last year, so everything seems new to him.  I take the day off of work, deciding that enjoying this moment with Teddy is too important to pass up on.  I am pleased when Fred opts to do the same.

"You're going to suffocate the poor kid."  He teases, pulling on his old Gryffindor beanie.  I help Teddy into his tiny little gloves.  The boy does look rather like a marshmallow at this point.

"I don't want him to catch a cold."  I stand by my choice, giggling as Teddy waddles around, nearly toppling over every few steps.  I carry him outside, setting him in the snow.  Teddy squeals loudly, kicking at the powder with his boots.

Fred sprints out into the yard like an absolute goof.  He starts gathering snow into a large pile.

"Fred, we aren't having a snowball fight with a toddler!"  I protest, crossing my arms over my chest.

"Come on. It's been a while since I've creamed you in a snowball fight."  He begs, not stopping his work.  Beside me, Teddy topples over face first into a snow bank.

"Don't count your chickens just yet, Weasley!"  I holler, turning around to help the struggling toddler.

"I'm not scared of you, Weasley!"  He yells back.

"I'm not a Weasley."  I remind him, pulling Teddy back to his feet.  I brush him off, revealing bright pink cheeks under his hood.  Once he's all cleaned off, I let him loose.  I turn, watching as he stomps footprints in the snow.

In front of me, Fred kneels, a smirk on his face.

"You aren't one yet."  He winks, reaching a hand into his coat.

"Fred!"  I squeak, hands shaking as he pulls out the little box.  Teddy falls back on his butt, but I leave him be for the moment.

"Hazel, will you marry me?"  Fred ask, opening the box for me to see the beautiful gold ring.

"Yes!"  I scream, bouncing so much he has trouble pulling off my glove.  Giggling like fools, we finally get the ring on.  The moment it's in place, I tackle him backwards into the snow, kissing him.  When I break the kiss, I stay there, looking into his eyes.

"I love you."

"I love you, too."

"Me too!"  A tiny voice shouts before Teddy launches himself, landing on top of us.  I groan as Teddy's boot kicks me in the butt.  Fred, on the other hand, finds this hilarious.  His laughter shakes both Teddy and I, knocking us both off of him and into the snow.

He leans forward and kisses me once more.

"TEDDY KISS!"

I crack up laughing against Fred's mouth.
