Chapter 7 - The familly meeting

We had arranged for our parents to meet that evening, so I wasted no time in going to Darcy's house that same afternoon.

“Hello, is anyone here?“ I screamed

She rushed from the dining room to meet me at the door, hugging me.

“How's it going lil sis” I asked

“Same shit different Friday, you?“she replied

“You already know just hanging in there. Is Darcy home?“

"Everyone is present; you were the only person absent. See for yourself, big bro,” She responded

Then I followed her instructions and walked into the dining room. "Hello la Familia," I said, waving at everyone. Rosée Darcy's mother asked, "What took you so long?"

“Miss Hamilton, I'm so sorry, but it's nice to meet you again,”

“Nice to see you too, this time as the one and not the delinquent Darcy wanted us to believe in the party the last time,”

“I told you guys I was joking, and I was really mad at him so…besides it's not like he wasn't that guy he maybe changed, a little.” responded Darcy while she was giving me that side eye

“I'm telling you this guys never change. He just got upgraded!” added my best friend Danny

“Danny what are you doing here before me? Am I really that late?“ I was surprised cause it's not often to see that guy make it in time till now

“Yes. You are sweety we've been here since two and now look it's five” said my mother, Grace

“Well, for you guys, it's totally fair. Who would have prepared dinner?“ Replied Rachel Darcy's little sis, and then everyone started to laugh

“Well said, Rachel, I like that you always got my back,”

“Anytime big bro,”

“Ehem,” Oh by the way that's my dad he got a bit tired of being excluded of the conversation and for my defense I didn't see him in the room till now “Dad I thought you weren't coming?“

“Well baby, your Dad took a short break at work today, so i told him we are going to meet with Darcy's family, so I make him come along”

“I would've not miss that for anything, the chance to meet la ravisante Rosée, the precious Mother of the famous Young lady Darcy, the one I heard quite a lot about,” said my dad

“I'm also glad to meet you too, Mr. Pierce, apart from hearing your voice on the phone,” replied Darcy

“I guess it's really worked like I told you guys,”

“Hahaha, yes indeed. It did... finally,” replied Darcy again

My Dad continued, "It is encouraging to see that some young people in this generation know how to hold onto things they truly want."

"Yeah, she has patience; she does not give up easily; that has been her trait since she was a young child, but I am not sure about the one on my left." Says Darcy's mother

“Mom,” screamed Rachel after hearing this

“What? am I lying…she never waits for something for too long, and she gets mad easily,”

“Fact," she throwed a Sandale at me for missing the best part of her favorite movie” rambled Danny.

we started to laugh like a bowlfull of jelly

“And i would do it again,”

“But it wasn't my fault. I was hungry,”

“I told you to grab something to eat even before the movie started, but you said you'll have the time to do that,” exclaimed Rachel
