"Why did you not eat?" Ethan gently asked.

His husband did not beat him instead his cheeks were pinched by a warm hand, making him a little breathless.

Yuki's eyelashes trembled, he slowly opened his eyes and what caught his eyes was Ethan's worried look.

Yuki couldn't help being taken aback by Ethan's look right now.

Perhaps Ethan has been too gentle these past few days but Yuki has the courage to express his dissatisfaction.

"Husband we shouldn't waste all the ration for this month. If you eat it all in one meal, wouldn't we be hungry in the days to come?" Yuki's pouting face looked like a little chipmunk chewing nuts and it was only then that Ethan realized the cuteness of his wife.

Just hearing Ethan chuckle, his tone is also rare gentle with a touch of pampering.

"You think I'm a useless husband? Wife I will definitely work hard to earn money for us to live a good life in the future and I will never mess around again so would you like to give me a second chance?" Ethan spoke so seriously that Yuki couldn't help but nod.

"Then you eat first. I'll find someone to bring the tiger back. I will sell it in the town market later and I'll bring you something delicious."

Ethan didn't dare to delay any longer, if the tiger wasn't brought back for a while some bigger animals will be able to smell it's blood and would surely follow it.

"I'll lock the door for you later, don't wait for me at night, go to bed early."

Before Yuki could ask any more questions, Ethan went out with a rope with his bolo knife.

Looking blankly at the back of the man leaving, Yuki's heart skipped a beat again.

"Husband doesn't seem to be that bad..."

After eating Yuki took out a handkerchief from a broken wooden cabinet beside him and embroidered it to make a handkerchief.

After he was bought back by his husband, he has been relying on selling handkerchiefs to get some copper coins to make ends meet. Although he has not been beaten now, he is still afraid that he will go hungry.

If the family ran out of food, his husband would definitely sell him.

Although Ethan is not considered a good person, he is still his husband. If he is to serve different kinds of men like those prostitutes on a brothel, then he would rather die than doing it.

..........................

Ethan left home and went to find John Wood and the other friends of the original owner. John was a kind person, the only son of the village chief and he was the only few good friends among the other friends the original owner had made before.

John didn't get involved in the stupid things that the original owner did before.

The five young men entered the deep mountain together, John and the others were all taken aback when they saw the dead big Tiger.

"Brother Ethan, you are really good, you can kill such a big Tiger alone."

Gerald the youngest of them couldn't help but praise Ethan, Ethan used all the money they sold for the wild boar they hunted a while ago to buy Yuki, now that such big Tiger will be sold, it is worth a lot of money.

"Yes brother Ethan is really a good fighter since we were young!" Antony the fourth youngest of them and the others followed suit praising Ethan then rolled up their sleeves to help John tie the rope.

"Since you have a family now, you should live a good life." John who had been silent all this time, suddenly said something. He had heard that Ethan would often beat and scold his wife  when he was drunk.

"You're right brother." Ethan responded with a smile and the eyes of the four people widened in shock.

While talking, the rope has been tied into the body of the dead tiger into a bamboo.

Several people tried their best to pull the tiger down the mountain.

.........................

"Wait for me for a while, I'm going to get some things at home."

Ethan returned home lightly and seeing that the door was closed, he didn't wake Yuki up, he just picked up his rattan backpack with rare medicinal plants on it.

The five of them rode oxcarts to go to the town and it was already dawn when they arrived, they were all felt hungry. Ethan told them to wait at the door of the animals shop and went to buy there food.

Looking for a medicine shop that was open, Ethan walked in. The medicinal plants he picked were exchanged for twenty tael of silver coins.

Then he sees a person selling steamed red bean buns, he bought twenty five pieces of buns and spent more than fifty copper coins.

The five ate up the steamed red bean buns. Then when the animals shop opened they finally sold the dead body of the tiger it was exchanged for sixty taels of silver coins.

Ethan smiled and took out twenty pieces of silver coins from his pouch and handed it to the four of them and  said to the three of them: "Because my family is in urgent need of money recently so this time I first repaid the money I borrowed from all of you last time and I also add two tael of silver coins for your hard work."

Last time the original owner borrowed three taels of silver coins from each of them, this time he gave them four taels of silver coins each and he had forty taels of silver coins left from selling the dead body of the tiger and if you add the nineteen tales and four hundred fifty copper coins he currently has fifty nine taels of silver and four hundred fifty copper coins.

This money will be used to repair the leaking roof of the house and then buy food and to call a doctor to look at the injuries on Yuki.

"The food in my house has already bottomed out and I will go to buy food. Do you have anything you want to buy?" Ethan asked his brothers.

"Well I'm also going to buy hawthorne for my children at home." When John talked about his children, his face was full of happiness.

"Then I will accompany my brother Ethan to buy food and help him move things along the way, fourth brother and fifth brother you're the to be staying to protect the oxcarts." Richard said looking at his brothers.

Richard Smith the third brother followed Ethan to the grain shop and John went to find Hawthorne, leaving only Antony Anderson the fourth youngest to them and Gerald the youngest sitting beside the oxcart.

Author: (You need 500 copper coins to have one silver coin while you need twenty five thousand silver to have one piece of gold. I use coins because in ancient Rome they're already using coins back then.。◕‿◕。)
