Lissa's POV
It is officially the worst week of my life. Drakkon has refused to touch me. He said that he wouldn't all this week so I could focus on the audition but I can't focus because he's not touching me! This fucking sucks! I swear, if we don't win this stupid audition, I am choosing violence.
"Looks like you are having the time of your life," I glare at my best friends and sighed.
"I don't know if I made the right decision to not have Drakkon mark me. I need to focus and make sure we get this audition but I can't focus on the audition because I'm worried about my mate!" I whine and bang my head on the table.
"So, just have him mark you," Morgan says like it's no big deal.
"I can't!" They both roll their eyes.
"Give me your hand," Marisela orders. I give her my hand and she holds it.
"I say with all my love for you, you are an idiot." Morgan laughs as she says this and I scoff.
"Wow, thanks, Mar," I deadpan. She rolls her eyes.
"Listen, you are going to be thinking about Drakkon throughout the entire audition and you won't be able to focus. You said it yourself. Plan a nice date, have a nice night, get dicked down, and get marked. Because without worrying about the mark, you are going to play better because your wolf will be satisfied." I frown and sigh. It is only Thursday and the audition is Sunday.
"You think it will help me focus better if I get marked?" I ask.
"Yes. It is going to be a huge weight off your shoulders." I bite my lip and nod.
"Okay, I'll do it. This is killing me to no end." I get up from our lunch table and walk off to find Drakkon. He's usually in the cafeteria but I think he said he was going to be in the library, doing some research for a class of his. Probably Animal Science if I had to take guess. I walk to the other side of the school to get to the library. Why would they make this school so fucking big? Low-key hate it, low-key love it.
After what felt like an eternity, I made it to the library. I walk in and the librarian is at her desk, reading a book and eating a salad. She looks up and waves at me. I smile and return the wave.
"Good afternoon, Ms. Johnson."
"Afternoon, Lissa. What are in here for today?"
"I was actually wondering if you saw Drakkon in today," I inquire. She finishes her bite and wipes her mouth.
"Yes, I saw him head upstairs in one of the study rooms." I nod and thank her before making my way upstairs. There are about 5 study rooms for students to come and study, teach, practice, and do whatever else is needed for class. Everyone who enters the room has to write their name down on the whiteboard outside of the room, despite of whether they are in there for 5 minutes or 3 hours. I look for his name and I find it at the very end. I write my name down and I knock on the door. Even though the doors stay unlocked, knocking is just polite. He opens the door and is surprised to see me.
"Oh, hey, Lissa. What's going on?" He asks me as I walk into the room.
"Nothing much. Um, I was wondering if you would be available to have dinner with me at my place. I'll be alone so I thought it would be nice to have some alone time together." I tell him. His eyes are slightly dark because I'm in here with him and he licks his lips and gulps.
"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. But how long are your parents going to be gone? I really don't like the fact that you're alone." Oh, he is so sweet and protective.
"For a couple of days. They are visiting my mom's childhood best friend. She just had her first baby and was freaking out. So, yeah." He nods in understanding.
