Silas' POV
I put on my hideous school uniform which consisted of a white button-up shirt, a black tie, a yellow jacket, and black shoes. If the fucking jacket wasn't yellow, I would be okay with it. I'm not even sure why I was going to this school. My father says it is the perfect place for upcoming Alphas in the area. I was inheriting the pack once my Dad stepped down. He is one of the 4 kings of the Werewolf Tribe. We are in the Western Region. I'm nervous but I know it will be okay. I was born for this. I was trained for this.
"Silas! Hurry up down! You need to go soon!" I hear my mom call for me.
"Yes, Mother! I will be right down." I grabbed my school bag and headed downstairs. Mom was in the kitchen, making food for well over 500 wolves. With the help of the Omegas of course. I walked into the kitchen and kissed her on the cheek.
"Morning, Mom."
"Hello, baby. Are you ready to check out the school?"
"Yeah, I guess," I say, coming to the table and making myself a plate of food.
"You guess? Why?" I sighed heavily and shrugged.
"Do I need to go to that school? I don't think I like the idea of someone following me around, taking notes for me, or doing my schoolwork," I tell her, eating a large dose of egg, bacon, and sausage.
"Honey, I know this seems a little weird but this school has been in the family for generations. Your great-great-grandfather went, your grandfather went, your father went, and now it's your turn. And if it's the girls you are worried about, not to worry. They get paid to be a part of this. No harm done," Mom reassures me, kissing my head. I heard footsteps from the hallway and I turned to see it was my father.
"Good morning, family. Honey. Son." He kissed Mom and kissed my head.
"Dad, we were just talking about the school and Mom was saying that this is the best school for me. I just don't like the fact of someone else taking my notes. I should be doing that," I inform him.
"She's right, son. This is the best school for you. You are going to learn so much about being an Alpha and have some fun while you do it." I purse my lips and shrug.
"I don't know..." Even my wolf, Zeus, is feeling a little on edge about all of this.
"If this is becasue you need to live on campus, don't worry. We can change that so you can still live here," Dad suggests.
"No, no. It's not that. Just... something is bugging me and I can't place it." It was a little frustrating that I couldn't figure out this feeling. I felt my mom's hand on my shoulder and I looked up at her.
"Just give it a chance. If you really don't vibe well with it, then we can look for different schools in the area. But you have to promise me that you will give it a fair chance," Mom says, comprising. I think I can do that.
"Deal." I shook her hand and turned to look at the clock. 7:45 AM. "I have to get going. Bye Mom, bye Dad. I'll see you at the bonfire later tonight." I grab my car keys and head to the school.
The school was huge. I have never seen a school this big. Imagine a castle. With the crown molding and medieval exterior. The school was only for werewolves but those becoming an Alpha have special courses to take. It fills my heart with joy to see females walking in wearing the uniform. You don't see a lot of that. I parked my car and walked in. If the outside was impressive, the inside was insane. It looked like a college but it was very formal-looking. Jesus Louise!
I can't believe we are here. I don't like the feeling of this at all.
I know, Zeus but we promised Mom. Let's just give it a chance but stay vigilant.
