Eloise's POV

After getting in the passenger seat, I couldn't help but be a little nervous about the whole thing. I mean, he knows my secret. I know he says he won't tell anyone but if you had a life-altering power that you had to keep secret and then you tell someone, it would stress you out too, worrying if they would say anything.

"So, I'm still new here so you have to direct me to the diner," he says, getting in the driver's seat.

"Of course. Luckily, we are not too far from it. All you gotta do is take this first street for about 2 miles and then take a right for another half-mile and one more left and you'll be there," I say. He stayed quiet for a moment before accepting the information and nodding.

"Okay, I can do that." He started the car and started the drive to the diner.

"So, I think we should start this off by asking some questions about each other," I tell him.

"Yeah? Let's hear it."

"Okay, first things first. How old are you?"

"I am 19. And you?"

"Just turned 18," I say.

"So, your birthday was recent then?"

"It was. When do you think it was?" He pursed his lips, thinking about it before saying.

"I think it was less than a week ago. So, my guess is going to be...April...12th?" I giggled.

"Very close. April 9th." He shook his fist with fake defeat.

"Man, I was close. Okay, your turn. When do you think my birthday is?" I cross my arms and look at him.

"Well, you have to give me more to go on. There's a bunch of birthdays. So, give me your zodiac sign, at least," I say.

"Fair, fair. I am a Virgo."

"Ooh, options. Hmm, okay. Were you born in September?" I ask.

"Yes."

"Okay, cool cool. Hmm, I think you are right in the middle of the month. Couldn't tell you why. But I am feeling the number...18. September 18th." He stopped at a red light and nodded.

"You're right." My mouth dropped in shock.

"Are you serious? Like not bullishitting me right now?"

"I am 100% serious. September 18th is my birthday."

"Wow! I'm usually not that accurate. Well, except for when it comes to the crops."

"Yeah, not a lot of people can guess that. Well done, you!" The light turned green and he continued driving. We asked about hobbies, college, friends, family, colors, music, and general life stuff. He has 2 best friends, his favorite color is green, he has one brother, he's a music melting pot, and he is going into his first year of college. After what seemed like minutes, we arrived at the diner.

"Wow, this is a nice-looking diner and it's pretty popular," he comments.

"Well, this is a small town. Everyone comes to this diner." He opened the door for me, filled with everyone ranging from families and high school cliques. The hostess smiled at me when we walked in.

"Hey, girl! Not here with your family?" She asks.

"Not tonight. You got anything for two?" She looked at her seating chart and around the diner.

"Ooh, I got a booth for you right over there. Come on and follow me." She leads us to the booth, giving Tyler a menu. I already knew what I wanted. "Your server will be right with you." She walks off and leaves me with Tyler. Now that I am here with him, this is a little more nerve-wracking.
